Just thought of another problem. There is no system where you can upload special tattoo's,badges, or anything. What would be stopping non-fa from just copying our uniforms?

Uniforms for clan wars sounds like a good idea because then it's pretty obvious who's in what clan.  And as Eligoh said, we should probably know who's in the clan anyway.

the tatoo idea is the better idea, as long as it is somthing only the FA can understand.

Well I don't know if it's because we're two months away from election day and it's still a dead heat but this poll currently is in a dead heat too.  As of now we got 10 votes:

Very useful: 2
Somewhat useful: 3
Not at all useful: 3
Counterproductive: 2

So basically 50 % for a common RSI feature, 50 % against.

So I guess the jury is still out :-)

I agree with the not useful side of the matter.  While it would be cool at times, like when we're all gathered together, it just doesn't seem useful otherwise.

I think that it could cause problems if people could instantly tell someone was in the FA. For example, if a spy was spying on a group and they were like captured or killed or something, the people could instantly tell that the person was FA and then their faction would retaliate against us. However, if there is already something that shows wat faction ur in, id see it as a possibility.

Another idea could be that we all get something small the same, like one or two things that no one but FA would have, except by a really rare coincidence, and that no one would be able to easily recognize as making a person FA related.

the only upside i can see to having a clan tattoo or something would be that it canoot be removed ... that way if a spy from another clan tries to ally with us they can't do a whole lot of faking it if they don't have a tattoo ... but yeah other than that it's a cool idea but not practical

Core, those numbers don't show a standoff. The counter-rproductive means that tey're seeing it as a no. So all-in-all I think mosty people have negative feelings abut this.

Even though we're a caln this is still a game, and we want the game to be fun. I think it'd become extrmely unfun if we were told to get some sort of badge on ourselves.

Counterproductive, tattoos are as far as I would go for unity.  Reason being as soon as someone works out what we all wear in common then we have a big red marker above our head saying, "Kill us, we're dumb." No offense.  Perhaps the crew each having a general piece of clothing the same then that would be ok, easy for Captains to determine who's who if the names get screwed.

So, it looks like that idea is out.

For an "occasion", potentially a very good idea.  Esp. if the skinnable item is one only members who are given it can upload. So everybody with a red hat could be one thing...but...if you dont have the tattoo on your shoulder....and that tat is something you dont see in public, so copying it is extremely unlikely...

For special occasions, a "uniform" item could indeed be good. Though, my thoughts are those would be truly special and rare occasions.

For day-to-day, mandatory...nah. Esp if Im going to try and be a spy.

In fact, I plan to make my RSI as bland as possible.  Im hoping there aren't many indicators of who/what you are, unless you start "interacting" with someone.

In otherwords, I don't want a " red-dress in the crowd " because Im a character vs a blue pill.

I don't know if that is how things normally work...but....

Good question, though.

Uniforms can be both good and bad....

In Star Wars Galaxies, I lead some very gifted individuals into battle on a nightly basis.  Over time we aquired skill, respect and hatred.  Our reaction time was unheard of.  I had an order placed to create a suit of armor complete with bio enhanced undergarments for my intire guild.  Sent out an Email and when the day came and people arrived they where astonished that a gift like this was ready and waiting for them.  They jumped at the chance to wear these most impressive suits.. They all looked the same, and they all had the same attribute enhancing effects.  No one cared if they looked like the person next to them, as long as the person next to them was in the same ball-crushing neck breaking suit.

Now, in the matrix uniforms don't really have a place to fit in... I could see us in the future getting like a "Dress Suit" used soley for Faction events and or Meetings.  But beside that no real purpose.... I dunno.  Be nice to have in the inventory I guess, but I woulndn' be wearing it all day.

It's not a standoff now but when I posted that it was.
