Firefall

Why'd we stop playing Firefall?  Seems like I only got to play it for a few days before we were playing something different   I really liked the MMORPG skill shooter a la Tribes style jetpacking and gunning.  Was it monotonous or just not have a lot of content?  I did a google search and I guess I'm psychic or something, because an official release date was JUST announced today!  July 29.

If Firefall is no good, I think it'd be interesting to check out PlanetSide 2 or Defiance.

I found it monotonous after getting my first T2 frame. The occasional world event was nifty, but the dungeon running was nothing I hadn't already been inundated with in other MMO's.

Also, grinding new frames is shit. Putting frames behind a pay wall is shit. Pay to win is shit. I don't have the time to grind XP into unlocking a new frame, nor do I have the disposable income to continue investing into a game that I've already paid sixty bucks to play.

We were sampling a lot of different games. Firefall didn't stand the test of time when stacked up against other games we were playing. It's an OK shooter and an OK MMO but not really great at either one. If we want to play a shooter, we should play Titanfall. If we want to play a smaller-feeling MMO, we should play Rust (at the moment, anyway). Also, no Rift support! Were we playing it before we got our Rifts, because that probably made a difference!

I've recently gotten back into Swtor. Enjoying it again.

I wish there were more people on, or was able to utilize the bank in some way.

I regretted leaving and I'm happy I went back. (Thanks a lot RL and 2 Jobs.)

I just recently started playing Defiance. I'm not very far into it to give an opinion though.

Planetside 2 looks pretty interesting.
