Ranked Warzone Scrimmage Match with ACo

So. I talked this idea over with a few of you in the guild, and I've heard it can be done... I suggest that since its Pre-season in ranked warzones that we take this time, and the initiative, to actually begin working together rather than arguing about gear, strategy, and whatever else.

The idea is that we get 16 interested people, and queue up together in two teams, and run a 'scrimmage' match against EACH OTHER rather than against Imps who are better geared, who know their rotations, who know how to work together, and who somehow manage to stomp us into the ground within the first few minutes of a match.

I've already pitched the idea to Rux and Kontraz of ACo, who agrees that its a good idea, and it could work. So he is seeing who would be interested on their side.


What I need to know is how many of you here, in FA, would be willing to do this, and more importantly which days and what times work best for you? Obviously it would be ideal to have an 8 man FA team against an 8 man Aco team.. but there's nothing saying we can't run two teams of FA, and two teams of ACo, or a mixed team if we don't have enough interest.

For a Friday night? This went swimmingly. Managed to match against ACo 3/4 matches (the other team got against another pug team on match 4) so far, and planning on doing more. Super fun times! Going to see about planning some more in the future, but gonna try and delegate this to Sared since its more his area than mine

Thank you to everyone that showed up tonight! I had a good time playing with, and against you all, and really felt that the experience gave a great opportunity for some tactical insight and analysis. Things like knowing who would be the first to split off of south in NC if north got ambushed (Adam), or who, when they die at south, is more likely to switch to north (Lathazia), etc. etc. etc.

I had to step out after we finished to take care of a wicked headache, but next time I want to talk over what happened, how we did, and how we can polish up.

Also, maybe I won't be shooting you in the back as often.

Nice work Nugget! Had a good time scrimmaging with AC and FA. I went for 4+ hours while I think you "shut the place down". Please include me on all future events and if family or work does not have me tied up, I'm there!

On a side note, I have seen a big improvement in AC's WZ's play. In the "old" days, they appeared to just PEW PEW everything but now they have some effective strategies. Not saying that they or us are perfect, we can all use some "training" and "practice".

Friday August 10th, we are running this again with ACo at 7 pm FA time (that is 8 est/7 central). If we have people who can come later, that's fine too, we're always rotating players for whatever reason.
