http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121435 Any reason to not get this card over the one Sared listed above? I already have an ASUS MOBO, and I've always trusted their CS.

LOL Get over it.  It's always a back and forth thing.  ATI cards are the better buy right now at the price point you're wanting to buy.  Back in the day they had shitty drivers but it's all the same animal now.  I'm an nvidia fanboi from yeeeears ago and I had some really bad experiences with ATI before AMD purchased them, but they're quality stuff now.

I mean, feel free to pay more if you want but that guide has all the real world performance tests matched up with the per dollar value.

Plus there are some really bad nvidia graphical bugs in SWTOR too until they patch it.  Just sayin.

Actually funny you linked that Eroz. I literally just bought one of those off of Newegg for my grandfather this afternoon, helping him do some upgrades. Supports SLI good insofar as I can tell, so on a budget, you pick up one, run good, then pick up another in a few months time and get the synergistic boost from SLI.

Likwid is right though. From where I'm sitting, AMD is getting their asses kicked on the CPU side of things, as they don't have any solid way to compete with the i5 and i7 lines Intel have been putting out. Since their acquisition of ATI however, they've been able to improve on ATI's already stellar design and licensing systems, getting more streamlined designs out that push out more power with a lower wallet impact.

I can vouch for Tom's Hardware, but I'd also check out http://www.anandtech.com/ for some head-to-head GPU comparisons Eroz. The numbers are there, and until nVidia starts packing cheaper production lines, manufacturer licensing, and cuts ties with some less than stellar partners (XFX is dead weight right now, don't buy them), then Radeon's are going to be a better bet for you.

P.S. Helped a friend build a computer for his sister a few weeks ago and put in a Sapphire 6870. In your price range, and it defaulted Skyrim to Ultra and ran like butter. (He's got a 5870 Eye5 that he paid top dollar for a while back for, and it defaulted to simply 'high'. You better goddamn believe he nerd raged at that! :P)
