Guys like Lunar tend to have a good number of sheeple who will cause a lot of problems. I got my information from years of MMO experience and these guys will try and cause us grief, they already are. I don't see reason to talk like that to me. I am only speaking my opinion on a subject that effects everyone. They have shown what kind of people they are and pretending they won't be any trouble will just allow them to continue causing trouble as they have already.

An RP-PVP titled server does not guarantee RP that is pleasent. I personally do not want to play on the same server as these guys because of what I believe will happen.

You do not have to agree with me, but everyone's feelings should be taken into account. Yours and mine alike.

Also, if what we do is the only thing that matters and no one else can stop it, then why do we have to roll on a RP-PVP server over a PVP one. The argument seems to claim that the server type does not matter.

Personally I don't think the server type does matter at all. I just don't want to play on the same server as Lunar and his friends, regardless of the server type as long as it is RP-PVP or PVP.

First off FA are Sheepdogs which means we don't give a shit if we piss off the sheeple.  Secondly just about everyone besides Lunar who posted seemed OK. Third I'm sorry that I may have offended you but I wanted to know your experience. Lastly some of us want to be able to rp outside of the guild if we roll on a PvP server it just won't happen.

I added some more that might clarify what I meant. Regardless, I agree with you on all of that except for the last bit. I don't think it will be easy but I think it can be done.

I just want what's best for all of us, I don't want drama, and I want to be on a server with pvp be it RP or otherwise. That is all I care about. I think FA will succeed no matter where it goes. I just don't want to deal with guys like Lunar when I am trying to enjoy my time in the game. If he and his friends won't be a problem then by all means go for it. I just don't see how they won't be a problem, but that's just my opinion.

I think FA is one of the most amazing guilds I have ever been part of and I will follow it wherever it goes. I just want what everyone else does, drama free RP with pvp. However we do that is fine by me.

As to how they would cause trouble. I honestly don't know because his mindset is that of a passive agressive with a possible inferiority complex.

I am not, but I do know that people with that kind of mind can and will find a way to annoy you. I had one as a roommate and believe me, they are the worst kind of roommate you could ever have.

I just want to launch into a server with fun like minded people which I do have in FA and I would like it to be with some of the like minded guilds but if it's not that's ok too. I just want to have fun role playing in a universe I have been in love with since 5 years old.

I can guarantee unless you want to you will personally never have to talk to people like lunar. That is why /ignore is in game.

So long as I breathe, I live. So long as I live, I fight. So long as I fight, I triumph!

True. I just want to have fun with our guild and other like minded guilds. I guess I am just worried that if we play on the server Lunar goes with, that we will lose those other guilds that seemed nice and were like minded to us. I just really don't like people like Lunar. The one thing he said that bothers me the most, is that Tbone and others voting on the SWTOR forum is pointless and that everyone will go where Lunar and his friends tell them to go. That is just really asshole thinking right there.

Just my two cents here -

Pre-Release Councils and other organization efforts led by idiots are doomed to fail. FA should take the lead in any kind of pre-launch organization; however that makes me just as closed minded as Lunar.

With that said, I believe that it would be wise to ignore the pre-release drama, and not worry about who is going where, and what guild is doing what. We are entering a new chapter in the life of FA, and I'd rather be surrounded with new faces and fresh blood than with self-important morons who get a woody for virtual authority.

I'm sure that there is going to be more than one RP-PvP Server at launch. With that said, I suggest we go to the server that this RP Council is not going to. The RP Council is going to attract griefers and elitists. Once we make a decision, we announce our decision, and wait to see which of our friends decide to follow.

There will be an entirely new server of friends to make, enemies to squash, and treasures to be plundered. I would not concern myself with the petty drama of Virgin Space Nerds.

They did. Apparently this new order/council/click/kookidklub does not have freedom of speech or opinions. Opinions are bad mmk.

This man speaks the truth! I bet you anything more nice and mature guilds will go to the server we do than those who will follow the "council" and self appointed leaders. Btw, anyone else think "Lost Tribe of Sith" sounds off? It just doesn't sound right >_>

You owe me a new keyboard and a glass of water.

The VSN will be on every server, regardless of type.  I actually almost want to keep tabs on these guys just to watch them crash and burn into petty squabbling.

So it seems in one regard these people are succeeding in their effort to create drama. I can see the beginnings of it happening right here on our own very forums.  However, we should not forget that the simplest solution to a problem is most likely the correct one. I say we make a post on the SWTOR forums that plainly states that we as a guild do not want to follow the rules or restrictions of an outside governing body and simply want like minded people to join us in picking a server. Those who wish to participate in this "council" are free to do so and those whom wish to follow us to another server by popular vote on the swtor forums are free to do so as well. Any attempt to create drama on the thread should be met with civility or simply ignored. Without sounding egotistical or self righteous we are better than this level of drama. We've dealt with this kind of thing in the past and we've dealt with it by standing apart from the people that create this kind of nonsense.

I'm not concerned about it. I really just wanted the chance for everyone to participate in server talks instead of them isolating it to their click, but in the end it doesn't make much difference for us. We'll do our thing and leave the bickering to them. As you can tell, they've already lost three or four guilds already. The "council" will probably be all but disbanded shortly after launch once other people start doing their own thing.

The "council" is a small minority of what is already a small group of very vocal people before launch.  The vast majority of potential players probably haven't posted a word on the forums, and are just waiting for the game to launch.

Once release hits you'll see dozens (maybe hundreds) of guilds who haven't said/done anything pop up doing their own thing. This "council" will do one of two things. 1.  Realise they can't police the server with their rulesets, and get everyone to conform to their way of thinking.  Therefore, they will disband.  2.  They will try fruitlessly to force/hound people into their rules and regulations.  They will alienate themselves from the much larger playerbase who have nothing to do with them.  From there they will either disband through in-fighting and not being respected outside of the "council", or they will learn to fit in with the rest of the players.

They're nothing to concern yourself with.  Every server, RP, PvP, PvE, yadda yadda yadda, has these people.  Moving servers doesn't ensure we don't bump into another group like them.

I would rather make a Cayenne Pepper and Lemon cream sauce to pour over some 4 cheese ravioli's!

I have nothing to actually add to this discussion because there is nothing I dispise more then drama. In real life or in game.
I used to think I was perfect. However, thinking ones self perfect is conceit and conceit is a character flaw... I have no character flaws.

This post is a bit late, but I wanted to post it anyways. I had class early this morning.

Also, if what we do is the only thing that matters and no one else can stop it, then why do we have to roll on a RP-PVP server over a PVP one. The argument seems to claim that the server type does not matter.

I think you are taking what I've said out of context a bit here. The main reason everyone in the guild (atleast 98% of those who voted) and not just the leaders made the choice was to have the best chances at an ideal enviorment to play in with what we are given to choose from and taking into account how the MMO community can be on certain types of servers. I understand the point you meant behind this statement, but I think it's a bit different that the topic at hand for my original response.

There are trolls everywhere, they will troll us on an RP-PVP server for being on the server and they will troll us for RPing on a PVP server.

That's true, they are everywhere but the more friendly ideal place to Rp without a higher chance of blow back from trolls is on a server designed/made for the purpose of Rp with PvP as apposed to one just labeled PvP where mostly PvP rage oreiented elitist will go as it's almost where the "it" people for pvp and nothing else will go. Such is the case in every MMO, granted you do have isolated incidents where that isn't the case. Going with the numbers is a better bet than trusting those certains times to happen for us.

FA can create a large RP group on a PVP server. I have faith in this guilds ability to inspire others to take part in RP. Saying that it is impossible is saying that FA can't make as big an impact as it desires to.

We will do well as we always have regardless of the obstacles or the "people" trying to harp on our good time. However, we are looking for an ideal situation not just pick this and run with it. It's my opinion that a server/place meant for our style will be a bit more pleasent than being on a PvP dominated server and really not getting the RP itch scratched as efficient as it would on a RP meant server. Also, noone has stated FA couldn't do something in any situation, we are again looking for the ideal place to make our mark.

I think we should play on a server with the people whoever they may be, that have a good attitude and will be friendly and respectful to our guild and it's members. Regardless of what server that is and who those people are.

I'm with you here on this one about 90%, the other 10% is the attitude of we don't need people to be friendly with us and we don't need other peoples help. We are a self sufficient machine that has been on the map for a long time now. Now I'm not saying don't be friends with anyone, but odds are the people we make friends with will approach us LONG before we approach them. That's not being elititst or a jerk mentality, it's just how things have always tended to play out because of how we are in game and there is nothing wrong with that.

I think we can all agree that is what is desired most. I am not saying where we should or shouldn't go but that there is a strong possibility that playing with Lunar and his friends and their members "could" lead to a lot of drama that everyone in FA would rather avoid.

In all honesty it could be Lunar, Wolfman, Bob Saget, Obama, A guy from Saturn or tha Loch ness monster. Lunar will be on almost every server, it will just be a different name for a different guy who has the same personality and mental architype. It's something we will not be able to avoid, it's going to happen a lot and on a lot of servers. Ain't no thang.

They don't look like the kind of guys who would support and promote things we wish to do considering they won't even support or work with our leader on where to vote for the server. That is a pretty good sign right there of how things will work.

Most of the people you will meet in life and a game will have their own set of rules and own wants and they will conflict with your own. I could list several Zion factions that did this EXACT thing with us in MxO. We didn't let it affect us or run away, we handled it our way and 9/10 they either changed their opinion or just hated us. If they choose to hate us, spit on our name and curse us on public forums. Let them. No hair off our back and certainly no impact on the Furious Angels' Focus. It's not the first time, it won't be the last.

In the end, please don't take anything I said personal, just my observations based on your own of my previous opinions. We will do our own thing and not worry about this type of stuff as we always have.

Cheers.

Furious since 2006.
