I knew they got caught by surprise! It was so odd the way they announced the release date. Apparently they weren't going to announce it until this weekend at NYCC.

The 20th of December is a Tuesday, and going by how they have done some of the Beta's, I'll bet you close to anything that pre-release will be either Thursday or Friday the 15th or 16th at 5pm FA time. I'd rather it be Friday, but I can definitely see them doing it Thursday so they wouldn't have to deal with a ton more people taking the entire weekend off.
