Wireless is overrated,  I had the wireles mamba, however it always seemed to die at the worst times while playing.. so you have to plug it back in anyways might as well get the wired in the first place. cheaper that way.

I have the wired naga.  No complaints.  Wireless is dumb.

let me be perfectly honest.. I would buy that headset in a hot second if it looked like the fighter pilot helmets.. even a simplified not full helmet version..

They've had 7.1 headsets since forever. They always end up with mixed reviews.

Don't believe everything you think.

Apparently this is the first "true" 7.1 headset, rather than some software trick.

Maybe it's the 7.1. The 5.1 'true' have been around for a while. They use sound channeling.

Woot!  PORKINS!

The main reason why I want that headset is to get the glowing led "I sense a disturbance in the force" effect that they're baking into SW:TOR.

That sounds flipping awesome.

Also, semi related, I'm sick of teamspeak button binding.  They have a foot pedal that they made for Wow, but as far as I know it's only bindable to ALT.  I want one where you can change the key binding.  Anyone know of one?

Razer is really getting serious about gaming products. They have a gaming laptop lined up... obviously to compete directly with Alienware.

That's disappointing. They talked as if they were going to revolutionize the market and show PC gaming is just as accessible as console gaming. Instead they revealed an uber-expensive gaming laptop that only the most hardcore of gamers are going to shell out the cash for?

If they really want to show PC gaming's potential, they need to be able to get the price point down to that of the popular consoles.

Haven't they been openly working on this laptop for like 2 years now? It wasn't really a big reveal if everyone already knew about it.

My reaction to this on the LANCAMP forums:

Quote
Totally retarded.  Nearly 3k for a subpar gaming machine.

The keyboard is really cool but they're going to be selling that as a separate device anyway.  If they assisted in creating a long lasting modular graphics card standard than this would be tempting.

But $2800 is retarded.

Just posting an update on this in case anyone is going to be buying one of these items.
All items are now available to pre-purchase. Estimated ship date is december 15th!
Also, when you pre-purchase/purchase one of these items you get an in-game color crystal.
My guess is it is green with a black core.

I picked myself up a mouse as I had a 75$ gift card to the razer store and was the only way I could justify forking out that much money for a mouse, but to each their own! Enjoy!!
I used to think I was perfect. However, thinking ones self perfect is conceit and conceit is a character flaw... I have no character flaws.
