Sounds a little bit like Brave New World, with the Soma pills and stuff, this one is just more openly violent, rather than all the violators being taken to "an island" and never seen again

I just watched this movie for the first time (took a day or two to download) and all I have to say is...

Wow.

I easily will go out and buy the movie tomorrow. The gun fights were cool and all, but the story was easily what put it over the top.

Equillibrium was fucking cool. Though you sort of have to turn your brain off to the certain knick-knacks of it. I mean the sheer impossibility of that world ever being created is laughable. But once you get past that loose end, the movie itself becomes pretty damn entertaining.

It was however, entirely a movie that camped off of people's interest in kung fu gun fighting after the Matrix. Without the Matrix, that movie never would've been made.

And Christian Bale is cool, but I hate his fucking underbite.
