I think you can form a clan in the Genide station and I'm not sure it costs cash at all.  Gonna give it a try.

Apparently I can't because I'm "Missing Rights."  Whatevah that means.

To form a clan, you must be level 14 and have 20,000c.  To buy a clan sector (for a station), you need 200,000c.  HUGE money-sink, and I'm not sure I care enough to grind out all that cash for beta.
On the EU servers, they did the traditional wipe of beta characters at release, so I expect them to do the same for the NA servers.  We'll certainly form a clan during beta, but I think it'll be wise to wait until release to start building a clan station.

As an aside, clan abbreviations must be a minimum of 3 letters, so "FA" doesn't fly.  I think the closest compromise would be "F.A."
My in-game name is, of course, Erathaol.  I'll start looking y'all up and friending you.

they put people in on a batch basis. I had no problem getting a key in this last week.

I love the combat in this game, though it does need a lot of work to polish off the rough edges.
