SWTOR Threads to Check Out

Please post in this thread when you have a thread on the SWTOR forums that you think we should check out and post in. I know often times I find threads and reply to them, but I think it'd be nice if we started getting involved in more of these discussions as a group. Here's one I found that applied to us:

Poll: What's your favorite part of being in a guild?

Thread concerning RP guilds and what's good about them:

http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=243136

Interesting topic to weigh in on, and gives people an idea of what we value in a guild.

Thread containing dev confirmation that Sith cannot visit Coruscant (and, by extension, we can't go to Dromund Kaas):

Debate on the merits and demerits of being able to re-spec.  Along with confirmation from Dev that you can re-spec.  They have yet to decide on whether to allow changes to your Advanced Class though.

Why did you become a guild leader?

Thought I would share this one with you guys. This was my reply:

Quote from: "Tbone"
Over seven years ago, I was interested in playing The Matrix Online, but had never really played an MMO before - the closest I had gotten was TribesRPG. Doing my research, it seemed like joining a guild was a good idea, so I applied to one of the few larger ones that were around at that time (this was before the game had even gone into Beta).

I joined up with a hovercraft, which were sub-divisions of a guild in that game (and guilds were called factions). Well, about a week into joining, there was a falling out amongst the leaders and the rest of my hovercraft broke off from the guild. Since the hovercraft leader was the one who recruited me, I felt more loyalty with him and went with them.

So now I found myself in a pretty small group - maybe 6 or 7 members, and we began brainstorming ideas for our new guild. I came up with a whole plan - a name, a recruitment idea, everything. The problem was, this new splinter group wanted to stay small, not branching our more than the one hovercraft, and a majority of them were actually European, so I realized that if I stayed with them, I'd end up stuck with no one to game with.

Since I already had all of these inspirations and ideas in my head that I knew could work if implemented correctly, I just figured "what the hell...I'll try these out on my own" and started my own thing. I guess my ideas were pretty good, because we quickly grew into the largest and most reputable guild in The Matrix Online, and this was still before Beta.

Luckily I had a little previous experience with managing a gaming community, as I was a moderator for the aforementioned TribesRPG back when I was just a youngin', so I've been able to make this work for over seven years now and spanning multiple games. And we still hold true to the values that inspired me back then, even in the TOR universe (just follow the signal to see for yourself).

In the beginning I became a guild leader because I had unique ideas and inspirations that could not be cultivated in an already existing group. I remain a guild leader because I've grown to be best friends with a lot of my guild mates, meeting many of them in person, and because my job requires me to travel, I've known a lot of these guys and gals longer than my "RL" friends. They inspire me to continue to work at achieving a high quality of service for a diverse but cohesive gaming community!

Not a SWTOR Thread per se.  The PCGamer guild, Coconut Monkeys, is currently answering any questions thrown it's way regarding SWTOR.
I guess they probably need to hold some details back, but it mostly seems to be answering anything thrown its way.
