So, I've been out of town for the holidays, and have returned! In a couple of weeks, I will be buying a new PC. My budget is no higher than 1000 dollars. I have already picked out everything, but was looking to see if you guys have any suggestions.

I'm not looking to get anything in lower quality, just because the price is a few bucks less. A better deal, or equal quality plus cheaper is what I'm looking for.

A quick look over and I'd say you have some serious issues with the motherboard you selected!

It only supports DDR2 ram and you have selected DDR3 ram. You can save money or find a better featured motherboard without on-board graphics. Also, it's a micro ATX board so it's designed mostly for home theater PCs.

You can probably save some money if you go with DDR3 1333 ram. I'm not sure you will utilize the extra speeds of the 1600 without having some experience with overclocking and you need to have a motherboard that can handle such a task.

Right, my bad. I accidentally swapped out the RAM last second while posting this last night, after my brother showed me it, and forgot to find a suitable motherboard. Thanks Lith.

Edit: Put a new motherboard that supports the DDR3 memory, and also found some RAM that is DDR3 1333.

Yup, you should be all compatible now.

I see you picked a motherboard with on-board graphics again. If you are going to be using a video card you won't be needing a motherboard with graphics. But it might be hard to find a board with all the same features and no on-board graphics. (from ASUS anyway)

I think I'll keep it anyway, in case of any video card failures. It's happened to me before, then I'm computerless for a while.

I would change the PSU, personally. If I'm not mistaken, that's the retailers own brand, so MIGHT be made of cheaper components. Either way, the PSU is something you definitely do not want to skimp on. If it messes up, say goodbye to the rest of your components. Although I'm not entirely sure what would suit your price range, check out reviews first on whatever you're thinking of. I personally check http://www.bit-tech.net for reviews on what I'm thinking of getting first, good stuff on there. Reliability and stability can vary across a manufacturer's, although I've read that Corsair PSU's are generally top-notch and exempt from this (I'd still check first).

The rest of it looks pretty well put together, although I'd personally go for http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822152185&cm_re=samsung_f3-_-22-152-185-_-Product as the HDD.

Go with this video card, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130568 it is the same card just factory overclocked AND has a lifetime warranty on it. I have the same card but the 768mb version. It comes to the same price after mail in rebate.

I just may go for that video card. The price difference is minimal, and if it's factory overclocked, it shouldn't have any particular problems right? As oppose to if I were to do it myself.

No, the card will have no stability issues. The ROM/BIOS flashed to the card will have 'overclocked' default settings that are 100% stable.

Kronik, what kind of graphics do you get with that card? I mean, I know it's a bit lower spec'd than the one I'm getting, but generally what do games look like?
