How? How would that even be possible? I don't want to de-value Bethesda's experience as a developer, but they don't exactly have a very extensive pool of multiplayer titles that leads me to believe that they know what they are doing. Not unless they buy another dev house, brand it, and call it "Bethesda Austin" or some shit.

Making an MMO is hard. Making a good MMO is harder. This, is a money grab.

Oh, and if Obsidian ends up making this I'm going to commit multiple homicides wearing Margaret Cibrian like a poncho.

a new studio called ZeniMax Online has been created for this game. Apparently it has been worked on for a few years already, which is pretty much the same as when SW:TOR announced.

The few bits that have dribbled out haven't been very promising. They've stuck with the traditional trifecta (healer, tank, dps) along with hotbars and alike. I believe even the developer has quoted it as being "World of Warcraft mechanics".

At present the only thing going for it is the lore. Others might be interested in the 3 faction PvP and non-instanced dungeons. But, I would argue they've been done before, and done better it other games.
