As much as my own opinions regarding the US Armed Forces may be unpopular, I am not completely without a heart. Phonearena.com did a list of applications for Veterans, and I was impressed by the approach that these different developers took to make tools to help manage PTSD, Prolonged Exposure, and Psychological First Aid.

This was a surprisingly positive find for me, and I'm already feeling better about bringing in the new year.

For anyone that doesn't follow/care about Assassin's Creed that much (like me), I found this over the weekend:

Ubisoft announced their 'Tyranny of King Washington' DLC for Assassin's Creed 3. Ranks up there on premise alone for brilliance in historical fiction if you ask me, working under the precept that Washington was a cruel tyrant with political aspirations slightly more napoleonic in flavor.

Just saw Django Unchained. Enjoyed myself thoroughly. Would suggest it to anyone that isn't bothered by an average (better than most) story, lots of blood, repeated uses of the word 'nigger', general idiotic white supremacists, and OH YEAH GREAT ACTING, A FUN STORY, AND FUN. EXPLOSIVE ACTION!
