The Secret World is now F2P with an optional subscription.  Free players get unlimited access to all of the game's content, while subscribers get extra benefits such as a re-usable XP boost (1 hour duration, 16 hour cool-down), a monthly allotment of Funcom points to use in the store, and a 10% discount on all store items.

Future content will come in the form of optional DLC to be purchased with Funcom points.  The next of which will be released in January for $5.  Anyone with a registered/paid game account before the end of 2012 will receive the January update for free.  

Regular patches with some new content (probably new store items) will be released regularly at no extra charge.

EDIT: Looks like it is following the GW2 model.  You still need to purchase the game upfront, but no sub fee is required after that initial purchase.

I was skeptical about another Supes movie, but this trailer really changed my mind.

Humanity's reaction to a living god, and the god's struggle to gain the acceptance of mortals.  With Nolan and Goyer on the script, and Snyder on visuals, it's going to rock.
