THIS is how you do a mother fucking movie trailer.

I hate trailers that give away the whole plot and best parts of the film away...

Watched the new batman film last night - impressive. Although, I did guess the whole plot before if happened. Also, I liked how the first two films linked in with it.

On a side note - I currently have the 'Rise' chant as my ringtone. I feel epic.

Saw TDKR last night as well.  Got a woman removed from the theater for bringing in her crying infant half way through the movie.  Management was totally cool and had no problem asking her to leave.

I enjoyed it, but not as much as I enjoyed Dark Knight, despite its plot holes.  Ledger's Joker fascinated and intrigued me on a level that Hardy's Bane just couldn't touch.  All-in-all though, it seemed like a logical conclusion to the story.

And I'm actually looking forward to Man of Steel.  If Zack Snyder is kept far, far away from the script and sticks solely to the visuals, it looks like it could be good.

I agree that bane is no where near as fascinating as the Joker, but I believe that hardy did a fantastic performance, that is on par with ledger. He had to act with a mask on, therefore his body language and eyes were his only tool.

Bale also impressed me - I felt sorry for Bruce wayne for the first time. I actually felt distressed when bane and batman first met and fought.

I felt like that was a unnecessary at best, and forced at worst.  It would have been the exact same scene if it were someone else.

What drove me absolutely insane was:

Quote from: "Spoiler Alert"
90% of the film was built around Bane as Batman's ultimate nemesis.  Surpassing him in both brains and brawn.  Then he is killed and replaced with a less interesting, less developed character who has the exact same motives as him.  And then she is killed just a few minutes later.  It ultimately made no difference that Tate was the actual villain all along.  It all felt like a big "fuck you" to the audience.

This should give you an idea of how closely I follow sports:

I just now googled "U.S. Women's Football Team", and got a ton of results for the U.S. Woman's Soccer Team.  Aren't those two totally different sports, or am I just laughably retarded?

Football in every other country is what Americans call soccer.

...And we will strike down upon those of Darkness, with great vengeance and Furious Anger, those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers.

Can we change the name of "Football" to "Tackle Chess"?  It's a more accurate description of what I see when I'm forced to sit through the Superbowl, and would help avoid this kind of confusion in the future.

Can I like, write that into a ballot somewhere?

You're absolutely right.  I was actually quite disappointed in the movie.  Don't get me wrong, I quite enjoyed it.  But it's my opinion that it's the weakest of the trilogy.
But what do I know?  I still think the 89 Tim Burton film was the best Batman film.

On the Batman movie...

The Dark Knight was over-hyped garbage. It amazes me how messed up people are when they idolize a rich, self-destroying, selfish, drugged out, movie star--who happened to kill himself. And then have the sense to call his performance a work of 'art'. All I saw was a drugged out man with some face paint who had the ability to run his hands through his hair and lick his lips oddly from time to time. Jack Nicholson can sleep easy, and admittedly so, that Ledger had nothing extraordinary on him over his character portrayal.

Now, that I pissed a good majority of you off... I thought the last movie in the trilogy was much much better than the second and still just short or tied with the first. It was a complex story but managed to focused on one villain and didn't get burdened down by others. It managed to stay true to pieces and stories from the actual comics with the exception of one major gaffe at the end. Robin, as a first name? Seriously? Overall, I enjoyed this one more. That is all.

Don't believe everything you think.
