Had a face palm moment today.

So for years I've always looked at my Verizon wireless bill and never paid much attention to the $13+ dollars in surcharges/fees after the initial wtf the first time I ever started paying for my own cellphone. Today however, I was looking over our bills and noticed that in the past few months our (joint bill under wife's name) cell phone bill has fluctuated by about one dollar plus or minus over the past few months even though we haven't gone over minutes/data/texts. Upon further examination, it turns out that it's just differences in fees/surcharges. No big deal, I don't have much control over those. However, something caught my eye that I had never really realized before - there are line items for the DC Gross Receipts Surcharge and DC 911 Surcharge.

This was interesting, because my wife and I have lived in Maryland for nearly two years.

Billing address they had on the profile was correct. However, there is apparently a separate category for service address. More interesting, the service address was not actually our last place, but a townhouse my wife, then girlfriend, lived in in 2006....

While I'm glad to have corrected the error and hopefully now save some money, I am a little baffled by the situation. I think the problem is I'm trying to apply logic to the people at the Verizon store.

I suppose I should be grateful they figured out that she at least moved to DC given that our cellphones are still 412 (Pittsburgh) area codes.

WINNING@MANIC! PS... I just got back into town this morning... had a great Burn! I meditated at the temple, I encouraging my friends to visit the Orgy Dome, I danced all night to some really sick dubstep, I rode a fully functional Pirate land ship with some hot sailors, I fell in love with no less than four fire spinners, and I even saw a guy with a 6 gauge Prince Albert. Damn I love Burning Man.

The pmr is nice, but eats gas, has no lpr, doesn't looks as nice, can be a process to program, doesn't have as many upgrade options, and doesn't hold value as well... basically, it's a great mid level marker, but I think I want to upgrade to higher quality.
