Coincidentally my dad wouldn't have had to work, but he and his wife had already planned a vacation in Spain for two weeks starting this weekend, if only they had known!

My wife and brother on the other hand still have to work. Hurray for incomes!

Congress has been arguing over how to spend our money and they hadn't come up with a plan yet and they had till last night. Since that is the case the government would have to shut down. They got a last second extension in for a few more days though.

BTW, we haven't past a budget since 2009 - even when dems held all houses. They get to get their shit together and quit spending so damn much.

Yes I found out on Friday that I am one of those "exceptional" ppl as well...  Wasn't thrilled. But now there are appropriations until Thursday so we can go through this again...  It's amazing that six months in they are still trying to figure it out for this year...  Yay government lol
