Utah is actually a surprisingly liberal state. It may be run by mormons, but it is not run by the church.

The last time I can remember any piece of art being "banned" was when Brokeback Mountain came out. A very rich mormon named Larry Miller banned the film from all of the theaters that he owned... which amounts to exactly five throughout the entire state. His decision was met by a huge backlash, especially from his investors.

So one mormon was able to keep one movie from being played in five of his own theaters. Every other theater was very glad to take the money that Miller was passing up on.

The majority of mormons around here practice "live and let live". We have a few crazies, but they only come out of their holes once a year for Pride Day.  I'm sure "The Book of Mormon" will roll through here eventually and it will do very well.

I agree that should be our official drinking song, though I'm not sure why....

Also... I have to make $420 bucks by Tuesday, so what better reason to celebrate?? Only the fact that I freaking love you guys (except that NO ONE is awake when i'm on TS... sad face for time differences)
