Champions Online, huh?  Maybe I'll check it out.  Like most, I am looking for a good MMO to occupy my time.

I still think we should try Eve Online.  It meshes well with the level or organization we are able to achieve when we have something to focus on.  But I know, its not everyone's cup of tea......

Agreed.  It's not F2P, but the game is definitely designed for our type of play.

With the recent changes to skill level progression it's quicker than ever to get to a point where you're viable in pvp.
If all the world's problems were solved today, what would you have left to do tomorrow?

I usually prefer to solo in my mmos, but that can get boring in EVE. If fa went there I'd be down for . We already have an fa corp.

Unfortunately, that's not really the "hold over until tor"type game.

I am not implying that we should not participate in SWTOR. The reality is that it does not sound like there will be alot of longevity or variety to the "MMO" part of the game.   Even the "group" stuff seems like it is largely PvE.  I haven't really heard anything interesting regarding PvP or the purpose it will serve other than being PvP for the sake of PvP with some nebulus point system that has no bearing on the "universe" in which it exists. Maybe its because I have not read enough about the game and this is one of a few times I hope I am very wrong.

Do I want to play SWTOR with FA?  Hell YES! But I have always thought that Eve Online would best serve our overall potential as a serious gaming group.

Eve has the potential to be "fairly" safe or exceedingly dangerous.  It all depends on how much danger you want and what you're willing to risk. The wars, politics, conflicts, conquering of territory, economy are all controlled by human players.  There are no class limits.  You can train the skills you want to train for any combination of play style or focus on one main career.  And when I say career, you can literally have on in Eve Online.

Would it require time?  Yes, but I think many of us almost "lived" in MxO.  Would our senior members start out as powerhouses?  No, but is that what really matters?

I will always follow FA to whatever game is our "main" game happens to be (within reason), but Eve Online will always, in my opinion, be the game for us.

P.S. fully realized avatars are on the way in Eve Online.

Awhile ago I did try the game and enjoyed my stay, but I cant see myself stepping back into the universe until Dust 514 comes out. Now I do have to agree that EVE is a game that we would excel at.

I work for State Farm corporate. For the last 5½ years I was a service analyst on reporting applications for executives. Now I am a systems analyst in our mobile/social testing area. Requests went out today for my new macbook, and tomorrow I start getting specific devices. Never touched iPhone in my life - so this will be interesting.
