PS... until I get internet in my new place I'm attempting to learn guitar.....

I don't know if anyone has brought this up yet, but to play an F chord, you have to hold down all six strings... what six fingered freak came up with that idea?

Bar chord. Either use a capo(?) or just use your index and press against the fret of all the strings as Fuse mentioned.

As will all guitar chords, there are many ways to play them - and many variations of them as shown in this chart:

Below are a couple variations of the F chord I usually use. Referring to the chart the first is "F..." while the second two are two variations of "F."

Er... The internship is only for two months. June 5-Aug 9. I e-mailed them and they said that they don't have housing/can't help in finding an apartment. I'm going to have to find something... Anyone know anyone in Detroit that needs a roommate for two months?
