Fucking nice!

I just started P90x over again. Feels good when you got a partner so you both don't let each other cheat :P

Yeah I've had to lay off for the past month or so due to hurting my back... But I'll be back up on working out again after the first of the year.

Go ahead, make my day.

I've had time to mull over in my head what I wanted to say about the new Tron movie.

First the simple answer, yes, I liked the movie and yes I recommend everyone see it (IMAX 3D if possible).

+1 Visual Eye Candy (Cinematography, Effects - Absolutely Gorgeous)
+1 Visual Eye Candy (Olivia Wilde)
+1 Musical Score (Daft Punk did an exceptional job)

-1 CG Jeff Bridges (works in a couple scenes, but mostly fails)
-1 Hippie Jeff Bridges (it's fun in the 1982 when he's 33, not as fun in 2010 when he's 61)

/0 As much as I normally dislike young actors rehashing a classic series (i.e. Star Trek), the acting in this movie was fine for the type of movie it is and the vibe of the film was very similar in feeling to the first Tron movie.
/0 Storyline slightly less intriguing as the first Tron movie and but is slightly more ambitious.
/0 Open ended questions hinting at third movie (no spoilers, but they're obvious)

I would give this movie a solid 3 out of 4 stars. It has the makings of a great movie but can't quite pull all the elements together.
If all the world's problems were solved today, what would you have left to do tomorrow?

The Tron story was lacking for me.

But I went for the visual eye candy (finding Olivia Wilde her hottest with the short haircut for some reason) and other visual treats.  Plus the music and action was spot on.

Might have wanted to see more Light Cycles though.

It felt almost like a 4 hour story pushed into a 2 hour movie. The story was all there just really short. I still liked it though.

I nodded off during some of the LOTR movies, but I think everyone has at some point (especially with the extended cut versions).

I'm still trying to figure out these "holes". I feel like they aren't so much as holes, as them just not explaining backstory in detail. But its all seen from Sam's point of view, we never get to know more then he did.

Possible spoilers:

I would love to know how and when the grid was transferred from Encoms systems to Flynn's. Flynn obviously knew he could destroy the system as he did in the end - so why not do that in the many cycles he was there to save the worlds. What was the expectation CLU had after he would have showed up in the real. Popping an army into Flynn's arcade would be messy, and fairly obviously innefective. (National gaurd would be all over that shit in a minute) I would have loved a better explanation of the ISOs - which I guess is somewhat explained in the game - but I also hear the game sucks, so won't bother playing it. What's the deal with Tron? His original purpose was to oversee control of programs - originally the MCP: was this not applicable to CLU? How was he altered to help Flynn near the end? (What happens to him next is the big question for the next one) Where is Yori? What happened to Bit? (A question I had for the second half of the original Tron as well)
