Downloading Battlefield: BC2.

The last time Ana recommended a game to me, I wound up falling in love with HL2.  Let's see if he can go two-for-two.  :)

That's a lot of pressure.

I played the single player campaign for a couple hours. My only gripe so far is the ever-present smoke that makes it near impossible to see any distant enemies. I've resorted to charging forward and squeezing the trigger until I can actually see what I'm shooting at. Is there a way to alter the environment settings?

Part of the smoke may come from buildings being blown up, which can't be helped via graphical settings.

Once you get into multiplayer, the smoke is a lot less inhibiting because the maps are so much bigger and less linear. You can see very, very far distances in the multiplayer. Of course, you'll end up wanting there to be more smoke because you'll get bombarded with sniper fire more than you can wrap your head around.

I haven't even started the single player campaign yet. lol..

The more I play, the more fun I am having. It's just a matter of learning how to do things. I like playing as a sniper as I can one hit kill most things, C4 any tanks, and move without detection easier.

Also, Setun flew this helicopter with a really sweet gun that allowed me to get like 30 kills in one flight. It was insane!

Don't see why not. I've only played with people (as far as I can tell) who were from Germany as well as mates from Oxford. I know you can play with yanks in MW2, but not 100% with BFBC2.

Yeah. You WILL find yourself VERY frustrated with this game (multiplayer especially) in the beginning because you're getting used to the game and playing against other, real people. There's a high learning curve, but not in the same sense that Darkfall had a high learning curve... that game was just God-awful. The game just takes getting used to.

I was lucky enough to not have much of a problem because the game feels similar to Battlefield 2, and I spent over 300 hours in that game, so I was instantly having fun while some other people were getting a bit more frustrated.
