Omg I just farted and it smells like a septic tank.  Thought you'd all enjoy knowing that.

"First Person Tetris" - http://firstpersontetris.com/

A unique twist on Tetris - it may give you a headache, though.  Check it out!

Built my Lego Technic Space Shuttle again for the first time in quite a number of years. Made a little video :)

You've convinced me to pick up a Lego set. Any recommendations?

Hmm, I haven't bought a new lego set since the last mindstorms (orginal) expansion pack!

I always liked Technic and Mindstorms because it was more engineery. Technic still has a great line up of models, most of which have motors and or pneumatics. Mindstorms I can't say the same about, the new stuff looks very toyish.

This is probably the feature model of the year: http://technic.lego.com/en-us/Products/8258.aspx

And then they have the star wars line up and the other regular stuff. Which I was never really into much.

Don't believe everything you think.

Creativity is when you can be given a box of random legos and can make something of it.  These kits are cool, but back in the day, random legos and creativity was king.

I remember having a big plastic bucket of maybe 1,000 or so random Lego pieces.  Doesn't seem like much now, but I remember being young and thinking 1,000 Legos could build every conceivable thing on the planet.

And sure enough whenever I needed a very specific piece it was nowhere to be found.

Great timing Manic. Less than an hour ago Engadget posted this...

DIY Lego router the perfect compliment to your Bristle Blocks firewall

Is there anything you can't do with Lego brand toy building bricks? Probably -- but we're not here to dwell on the negative. In this space, we've seen everything from a USB charger to a 3D scanner built with the things, but if you still haven't had your fix, Luke Anderson (the Lego computer guy) has full on, step-by-step instructions for building an enclosure for your Linksys WRT54GL router. It's stackable, all the buttons, LEDs, and ports are accounted for, and your young child can break a small piece off and choke on it. In other words, it combines the functionality of a router with the charm of your favorite toy! Ready to dive in? We thought so... hit the source link to get started.
