The only people who think Apple's crap music service that downloads shitty mp3 encodings and ties to your system like malware is good are those who are blinded by it. Try amazon folks. High bitrate mp3s with no encryption. SAME FUCKING PRICE and no malware software.

I am in complete agreement with Lithium here.  I would never own an Iphone.  In fact hopefully sometime soon they will go out of business and cease to exist.  Thats one of the many goals in my life lol

Where does it say Apple is doing tweaks and modifying software?  It says they are working WITH Vonage on some "technical issues with the software".

Apple is not allowed to make an app for the iPhone to do VoIP, because of their contract with AT&T.  Third parties are not bound by that contract.

Spotify streams over 3G.  Vonage should be streaming over 3G, as well.  Skype is able to stream over 3G.  Why they're not is on them, not Apple.

The most interesting in AT&T's statement is regarding VoIP. It seems like Apple could actually allow Skype over 3G, if it wanted to (though AT&T would really prefer all VoIP apps run over Wi-Fi), and they agreed when the iPhone contract was first forged that Apple wouldn't make its own VoIP app, meaning a video iChat probably ain't in the cards for a long time:

"AT&T and Apple agreed that Apple would not take affirmative steps to enable an iPhone to use AT&T's wireless service (including 2G, 3G and Wi-Fi) to make VoIP calls without first obtaining AT&T's consent. AT&T and Apple also agreed, however, that if a third party enables an iPhone to make VoIP calls using AT&T's wireless service, Apple would have no obligation to take action against that third party."

Yeah, Croc's Lair gets creepy as fuck.  Especially when you're in your room with the lights off, and the 5.1 surround sound going.  You hear that creepy fucker talking, and then out of nowhere he pops up.  Made me jump a few times.  I've only got 2 of 5 spores.  Need to go home and finish.
