When I was in high school I bought this little diddy for about $50 if I remember correctly.  These days it's probably worth $15 at most.  Apparently Wacom doesn't even make it anymore.

But it has been one the most reliable peripherals I've ever owned, and I'll admit I haven't treated it kindly.  The fancier tablets these days come with a lot of extra features, but as far as I'm concerned they all do essentially the same thing.  When I do whatever in Photoshop, I don't need a lot of bells and whistles.  I just need something more natural than a mouse.  This is probably what my grandpa felt like when he would talk about his beloved truck.

Pick up something cheap and play around with it.  If you've never used a tablet before, take the time to familiarize yourself with how it behaves.  It will feel very awkward at first, but as with anything else, practice makes perfect.

My plan last night was to see District 9 and then sneak into Inglorious Basterds. First, I think they were checking tickets at the door. Second, both the first showing of District 9 and Inglorious Basterds were sold out, so I had to buy tickets for later in the evening and didn't have time for a second anyway.

For whatever reason I just saw this mock trailer for 'Nation's Pride' the movie inside the movie Inglourious Basterds. It doesn't spoil any of the movie really so if you haven't seen it don't fret too much.
