Surely you guys can find more flaws then "I just don't like him". What happened to him being a "socialist, Muslim anti-Christ terrorist"?

Say what you want, but Bush had the lowest approval rating at the end of his term, only outdone by Truman during the Korean war and Nixon during Watergate. Obama started his presidency with one of the highest approval ratings, matched only by Kennedy.

Of course, after Bush, a rock as president is a breath of fresh air. The truth is, Obama has done so much for the international community already. I don't agree with everything, but the difference is having a leader who sees everything as a black-and-white, good vs. evil, us vs. them, Christians vs. Heathens and a leader who understands a little more the complexity of the world and its different cultures and the importance of reaching across the divide in an attempt to say "we have the WORLD'S best interest in mind" and not just "we have OUR best interest in mind". Some would say that's a flaw to consider others and not just Americans. Americans are still number 1...we're just not gonna fuck everyone else over because they don't like us and we don't understand them.

When I hear people say "we just need to nuke them", it's like I think they don't understand that there are millions and millions of innocent, friendly people who live in these countries. You can't just "nuke" anyone, or you end up with just these mass amounts of civilian casualties - the very people we want to "free and bring democracy to", whether they like it or not. Hiroshima, anyone?

I'm very thankful that Obama is president right now, because I fear a different president would have already had us fighting in Iran (because apparently that's OUR revolution, even though both sides still hate the USA for meddling?) and North Korea (first Korean war went pretty well, eh?), while still fighting in Iraq (glad that only took a couple of days) and Afghanistan (Osama Bin who?). And if you want to keep America first, fighting a four-front war with countries whom some have world-power allies is not the safest bet.

I think the term "Burn in Hell" should be reserved for someone who rapes or murders someone close to you. Someone you know has done it. Something very personal.

MJ was controversial for sure, and I'm certainly not defending any of his bizarre actions. He was obviously very disturbed and had issues. He also did a lot of amazing things, raising millions of dollars in charity. His music touched a lot of people.

I guess what I'm saying is to wish someone to "burn in hell" for something that you think they may have done or assume they did or feel they did seems a little insensitive and judgmental. Maybe he is a sick sick bastard, but even so I would think a "God-fearing" person who believes in a hell would rather say "I hope he found Jesus before he died" instead of "burn in hell, mutha fucka!".

Lol...I don't know why things have been rubbing me the wrong way today.
