Cloverfield was cool because it had a HUGE viral advertisement campaign... each character had their own myspace page with blogs and everything.. plus the company website that they created.. Slusho... to explain the chemicals that created the giant thing...

I think Cloverfield's viral marketing was the only cool thing about it.  When the movie was over, I was actually kind of pissed that there was absolutely no resolution whatsoever.  The movie didn't answer a single question that the all the hype had stirred up.

And the camera guy was annoying as fuck.  Constantly asking "What is that thing?!" as if everyone else knew exactly what was going on.  

Bah.  Thinking of that movie only breeds anger in me.

So I finally I picked up the Ultimate Matrix Collection on HD DVD for $32...I love my Blu-Rays, but HD DVD ain't so bad, and they're dirt cheap.
