Happy Labor Day everyone! In light of the fact that this is the first Labor Day I've had off in YEARS (my old college department chair always seemed to "aquire" permission to have us work on this day, lol) I'm sipping Bloody Mary's for breakfast and about to go play volleyball in Santa Monica Beach (Don't worry T, I've gotten WAAAAY better since the wondrous days of Late Night Volleyball at Campus Edge).

Whosoever is capable of joining, please do! Anytime any one of you is desiring to see the most beautiful city in the world, I offer myself as tour guide extrodonaire!

So, tally ho! And I'll see you all soon (i'm in TS and no one else is, bah)

LOVE TO YOU ALL!!! RELAX ON THIS DAY OF NO LABOR!!!!

Be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

Google Chrome just came out. Google's new web browser. I'm going to give it a try.

New iPods are supposed to come out soon - there's an Apple event next Tuesday, which will feature an updated iPod touch and a taller, skinnier Nano.

New Macbooks and Macbook Pros are rumored to be coming out in October, but they were rumored to come out in July, then August, then September, so it's anyone's guess.

After playing with Chrome for 10 or 15 minutes I must go but my verdict is this.

Very Impressive. If this is just a first release I can't wait for even more to come.
Surprising compatible. Flash/Youtube all works, websites display properly, Facebook dynamic content all works, java works. It is a zippy browser. And the url bar is extremely powerful and handy.

Don't believe everything you think.

I decided to set it up, too, and I like it. I do miss not having the Google search bar on the top right corner, and I do miss not having my Adblock Plus and smooth scrolling. However, I'm sure that all of those will be able to be added relatively soon to the browser, as I know it's still in its early beta stages.

I will definitely keep my eye on this.

So I guess you can custom order shoes now?  The future is truly here!

Anyway, I'm ordering some Converse and there's a "Personalization" option.  I figured "MANICV" would be a good bet, but I thought the better of it.

So I'm looking for suggestions.  12 character limit.  Aaaaaaaand GO!

To Lithium, you bastard.  I was just coming to post that.  I've been using it for two minutes and I already feel like this browser is amazing.  Hopefully they are also working on a Mini/Mobile browser so I can use this on my Windows Mobile Pocket PC as well.

I'm loving that it works with the scroll bar on my laptop's touchpad.  It doesn't seem to work in FireFox 3 for some reason.

Yeah, nevermind.  I enjoy my privacy.  Fuck Google.

A friend on another forum posted this.

i lied i read the TOS and hate it

I'll pass on Google Chrome.  From what I understand Chrome records what sites you visited, what pages you saved, what tabs you've opened/closed, and what search engines you use most frequently.  Looking through the TOS, this is what they have to say about all that data they collect:

"a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, and non-exclusive license to reproduce, adapt, modify, translate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute any Content which you submit, post or display on or through, the Services."

Long story short: your privacy is null and void when using this browser.  Google has history with shady software (such as Google Desktop Search taking "images" of your hard drive and sending it back to their servers) and this looks to be no different

I guess you've never read mozilla's or microsoft's TOS then eh...? Don't kid yourself, privacy is an illusion that you can't obtain anywhere.
