Anyone have any experience with carnivorous plants?  I bought one at Home Depot and tried to re-plant it in a terrarium that I put together, and now the poor thing looks miserable.

yeah i bought one, one time to put in my dorm....worst idea ever, they take lots of attention and i found out they hibernate in the winter and they have to be a certain temperature and crap. More trouble than it was worth.

I used to have a Venus Fly Trap - I used a pot for mine, since it didnt like staying in the same soil as the other plants.


I also used to feed mine with Cheese in the winter since there aren't many flies around.

I have a Pinguicula and two Droseras.  All named after gods of H.P. Lovecraft lore.  

I tried re-planting one of the Droseras, despite the advice against re-planting according to one website.  It looks a bit droopy since the re-planting, but I'll give it a couple more days to adjust to the new soil and see what happens.  The other two I've left in the little plastic terrariums that I bought them in.
