I can recommend you the dell xps line. I had the tiny xps m1210 for about a year and had no major problems with it and it held its own in games really well. Of course if your looking for hardcore gaming the higher end XPS models are powerful.

I recently upgraded to a tablet from HP. It lacks the horsepower but the tablet features are what I wanted.

YAY!  you should ask Bellthazor for C++ help... (if you need any) hes a seasoned pro now that I've spent countless hours helping him :p

I've been doing data structures with binary trees, avl trees, linked lists, etc all semester with C++. Java is much more user friendly imo.
