Bought a new old laptop.

Hypersonic PC Aviator CX7 Turbo.

Was a $3000 laptop in late 2005/early 2006.  Paid $350 for it. :D

2.26Ghz Pentium-M 780.  2GB (2x1024MB) PC4200 DDR2-533 Mushkin memory.  GeForce Go 7800 GTX.  100GB 7200rpm ATA Hard Drive w/ 8MB Cache.  17" WUXGA 1920x1200 VividView Display w/ Super Clear Glossy Surface.  8X DVD +/- R/W Dual Layer Burner.

Pretty much this same computer, but with some better options. :)

If Chuck Norris was crossbred with a monkey, the resulting entity would throw its shit at warp factor 17.

I remember looking up the discrepancies between warp factors in the Star Trek series.

Basically Warp 9.x is the highest warp you can achieve, with warp "10" being infinite speed. When someone says warp 10, 17, 25, etc. What they are really referring to is the x.

So
Warp 10 = 9.9 (speed Kirk & Co. achieved using the gravity well of the sun to travel back and forth in time)
Warp 11 = 9.99 (my example)
Warp 17 = 9.99999999 (sared's poo flinging norris monkey)
Warp 23 = 9.99999999999999 (futuristic speed stated in some TNG episode)
and so on.

Needless to say, Warp 17 is pretty damn fast.
If all the world's problems were solved today, what would you have left to do tomorrow?

Not sure if anyone really cares (hence the post here), but AlgorithmBlack posted the following on our boards yesterday:

Title is leet speak for "Nothing ventured". The completion of the quote is "Nothing ventured, nothing gained." "fiev" could be a mix up of "five"...

Their next event is titled "Nothing ventured...", so there ya go. I'm sure there's something to the image and the name of the image. Maybe there's a "Fiev" you can add in-game?

Well I tried variations of five at their site, but nothing.  Also for shits and giggles tried to find something based on the size of the file - but that didn't work either :p

You guys already tried opening it in whatever program to see if there is something hidden written in the code? Or whatever can be done like that. What about inverting the colors/playing with it in photoshop?

Can't seem to get anything from it in PS.  However as with the Sentinel image last time it does look like it moves slightly.  I think at this stage it's more likely a hint that we'll be looking for some kind of odd person.

Wow, first I even heard of this game was today,

http://www.rockstargames.com/IV/

Grand Theft Auto 4. Unfortunately looks like there is no loving for the PC. It will probably tag along a year later I suppose.

Looks pretty fun. I've always enjoyed these "gangster games"

Don't believe everything you think.
