you set up to partitions on your hard drive rogan... when youre installing windows it will ask you about that. You can cut your hard drive space in half and give half to xp and halve to vista.  Install xp and give it half of your hard drive space and then go and install vista on the other half.  You can seperate the space anyway you want to.  It basically acts like 2 hard drives one with vista and one with xp.

on xp more than vista... I get a tad color discoloration from time to time.  Maybe once in an hour but i just turn to a different angle and its gone so not a huge deal.  Then again others with the 8800 like tecknik have no problem at all.  So who knows.

What do you mean about discoloration and moving to a different angle Pirus?  I occasionally get texture issues (things go shiny for no reason at all) and that stops when I face a certain way... I wish they'd issue a patch already.

Yeah same issue the textures tend to crap out sometimes get shinny other times it blends ccolors into some weird 60's hippy trip day dream.  I turn towards another direction and it goes away.  It is just mildly annoying but I can live with it.  Oh, and its hard to patch what youre not aware of.  From my numerous communications with them I gathered it was a problem they were unaware of and there isn't enough complaints about it to concider it a priority.

I guess not many MxOers play with nice Radeon cards then  I don't bother playing any other PC games so I don't know if this is a DX issue or a MxO issue

I am replaying Crysis with everything on high and 2x AA, and it really isn't that choppy.  Of course the game looks great.

I'm thinking about buying a 4GB (2x2GB) memory kit, and I know that XP x32 does not allow you to use all 4GBs of your actual memory because of the 32-bit limits.  So if I was going to upgrade my OS, do you guys think its better to upgrade to XP  x64, or to just upgrade to 64-bit Vista?

I think I may wait for the new Core 2 Quad Q9450.  Apparently it should be coming out soon.  Reports say that it should be better than the Q6700, which is better than the Q6600. I just hope it is around the same price as the Q6600/Q6700.  It should be since it has to "compete" with the AMD Phenom.  I say "compete" because the highest available Phenom still has lower performance than the cheaper, low-end Core 2 Quad Q6600.  ROFL.
