Double post...

So I get the HD component cables for my PS2, only to find out that a very small percentage of PS2 games over anything over 480i.  There are a few that offer 480p, like Resident Evil 4, and a few others that even offer 720p and 1080i.  Some games also offer a 16:9 widescreen option, like Resident Evil 4.  I'm kind of sad that none of the Metal Gear games offer Progressive Scan. :(

So, in English, most games look like crap, AKA jagged as all hell, when using the component cables.  Looks like I'll have to switch between component and S-Video, depending on what I want to play.  Hopefully I can at least watch DVDs with Progressive Scan. :(

Erm... don't forget, as I found out recently to my cost, that ICT is enabled on some Blu Ray movies... you'll only get HD through HDMI.

Well, when I get a PS3, I'll most likely use an HDMI anyways, so that shouldn't be a prpblem.
