It pisses me off that "Poetry" is not a required course in school these days.  How the hell did we let this happen?

Although it would be a nice class to take, it's kind of hard to grade it objectively. You either have to have a really good teacher, get on the teacher's good side, or just spit back out the teacher's interpretation.

I wish I could check my AP grades. They came out yesterday, but you have to pay 8 dollars if you want to call in and get your scores. Or, I can wait three weeks for them to mail it to me. I really want to know how well that I did (especially because my SAT II Subject Tests went wonderfully) on the AP tests. I would die of happiness if I get 4's or better on all of them.

Should I pay 8 dollars to get them checked today or wait three weeks until it arrives at my house in the mail for free?

It's eight dollars to satisfy your curiosity (and possibly quicken the process of you doing them again, if that's possible). My question is...what's the downside of not paying the eight dollars? Do you need the money for something else?

Saw it last night and from the moment I heard Peter Cullen's voice as Optimus I was hooked.  just spent morning on Ebay looking for Gen1 Transformers  I was very pleased that they kept Peter as the voice of Optimus, it brought back a small bit of my childhood AUTOBOTS, ROLLOUT.  As for the rest of the movie I thought It was fantastic, that young kid I thought was a very good actor and the story was pretty well put together.  My only beef with the movie was it seemed for a major part of it, the camera was too close to the action; there was too much on the screen so you didn't know where to focus.  I wont go into any detail about the plot but I'll be the first to say that the special effects were outstanding.  So go see it already.

I completely agree on all points, especially the camerawork. I suppose I expect that because it makes it more realistic' and also hides any flaws with the rendering, but I was still very very impressed. I also don't feel like they relied on the special effect for the whole movie - tere was also a decent plot.
