Honestly.. she deserves whatever the hell happens to her.. she drove drunk.. got her license suspended... continued to drive.. got caught.. paid a fine.. then DROVE AGAIN.. repeated ignorance deserves no leniency.. she can claim she didn't know all she wants.. someone else doing it other than a rich celeb and they would be in jail for MONTHS.. not a month.. its ridiculous...
Sarah Silverman always pushes the envelope.. Paris just happened to be the topic of todays celeb stupidity.. to bad for her.. bad timing perhaps..

My .02 cents on this all is that many of these celebs are talentless trash with too much money.  

I'm generally an empathetic individual, but I do have my own opinions and views, a trait shared by every individual here.  Silverman picked an easy target, and it was entertaining.  Hilton's a worthless whore anyway. She'll live.

You all have good points, for and agaist her, and personally I can't stand her. I think she makes the entire female half of the species look bad. When men find her attractive it demeans everything a real woman has ever done to deserve respect. HOWEVER... she lives in a world of backstabbing and publicity and false EVERYTHING. You can't trust your own mother in a lifestyle like that. You are constantly playing the game, constantly on your gaurd. To be brought down completely defenseless like that in front of a huge crowd of cheering damners is horrible. I don't care who you are, you can probably put yourself in her shoes for a second and feel your heart seize. I don't think outsiders can really grasp the true meaning of it... imagine a world where everyone you know is constantly looking for a way to break you down. Imagine having to live in a world where every move you make, every outfit, every word, every freaking syllable has to be carefully monitered so you don't give anyone any possibility of using it against you in the future. Even your closest 'friends' you can't trust them... they'll turn on you quicker than lightening. So of course you're going to go crazy with it every now and then. Of course you're going to act out. Most people handle it better than she does, but really. Maybe I've just spent too much time in the theatre. But that is like my worst nightmare... every enemy you have ganging up on you and swaying the weak ones to their side? I can't STAND Paris, and I still feel sorry for her. As much as I can't stand her and her lack of talent, compassion, and soul.... I probably would have stood up fo her in that auditorium.

I'm going to leave out the drunk driving arguement because, although drunk drivers deserve more than what she's getting IMO, we all know Sarah Silverman did not embarass her publicly just to make up for the lack of punishment from the authorities. She did it because it was an easy target. If she HAD been trying to make a statement against leniency towards celebrities, perhaps I would have felt different about the roast, but such was not the case.

Most celebs are assholes, the only ones I have respect for are for some actors e.g Johnny Depp who have work so hard and deserve to be rich (I <3 Depp) and Musicians like Dave Grohl and Johnny Rotten who rose from nothing to be famous.

However, apparently, I was not able to raise my math grade high enough. My school will not allow me to take AP Statistics because I have a B in Pre-Calculus. That makes sense, ya know, seeing as the two are entirely different from each other. I really am smart in math, but, you know, that doesn't matter. My grade is the only thing that matters. I am just so pissed off right now.
