eh this is an ot thread so i figured i would start a new one.

the obvious question would be who else out there likes xfiles?

personally i find more intriguing the background and the ideas and how over 9 seasons they were able to pull everything together really well. and the best part is that it was amusing. some episodes the characters would act completely out of character and just be silly and it was great (like when scully kissed skinner) or else the goofy humor (krychek: you must be losing your touch mulder, i'm beating you with one hand; mulder: i thought that was how you beat yourself ...)

so yeah. there you go. post away!

My dad and I used to watch it together on Sunday nights. Lots of sadness when they stopped making episodes.

I watched only a few episodes, and really liked them, but couldn't bring myself to watch it on a regular basis.  I guess it's because when the show was at it's peak I wasn't that old so I wasn't into things that made you think too much.  Sometimes I feel like buying the DVDs to see the whole series.

I was a fan, until David Duchovny got all pompous about his salary and quasi-quit the show. Can't have conspiracy and intrigue without Mulder.

yeah i was only about 8 when x files started but recently they have been airing reruns all over the place so i've seen almost all of the episodes. i think it's one of those you-have-to-grow-to-like-it kind of things for some people. and yeah, when mulder left it got kind of sucky. at least he came back in the end. it's really disappionting when actors do that. luckily they didn't do that in the matrix!! i was just watching some of the dvd extras and some of the actors were like .... "when they said matriz sequel i said yes without even reading the script because i knew it would be kickbutt" ..... well not exactly those words but that idea. which is kickbutt in itself. so yay!

X-files... The good ole days of television.  I was there from the first episode right up to the end.   I actually met Mr. X at a convention.  Escorted him down from his hotel room because security wasn't going to bring him down until later.  He was a cool cat.  Got a special poster signed by him, and an offer to do security next time they were back in the area.

Go ahead, make my day.

Hmmm Broin you sound like a soldier ;) Sorry I was never really into the X Files, but I was wondering what did the last episodes have? Like what were they about? Were aliens finally exposed or something?

hahaha well .... sorta .... basically mulder came back and that's about all i remember for details at the moment. i know there is a website that has all the transcripts (all 9 episodes plus the movie plus dvd commentaries plus the simpsons episode plus the lone gunman episodes which i never saw :( ) and it's something like www.insidethex.co.uk?? but you can look up and read the last few epis there. :)
