I find that Battlefield is THE online FPS. It does have new things - destroyable buildings etc. Medal of Honor has some, but... not really :/ Crysis 2 looks good multiplayerwise, too.

The only way FPS' are good/differ from one another is awesome campaign storylines (Medal of Honor, Modern Warfare) and amazing cinematic sequences that make you go 'holy fucking shit of Jesus!' (Modern Warfare 2, MoH, Crysis). You can't really change the FPS games without them becoming another game i.e. not an FPS. The only thing they can do is juggle and mix the contents.

I hear you about the PC dumb-down effect but I have an Xbox too, so I don't mind. I'll be buying BF3 on my Xbox.

I'm really hoping this isn't going to be Bad Company 3 but a legitimate sequel to Battlefield 2. Oh how I miss the days of 64 player servers and massive amounts of vehicles on the field.

Yes. Yes. Yes!

I think Setun might like the sounds of this:

Quote
'The game is still early in development, but I can tell you that Battlefield 3 will have the largest maps we have ever made'. Bach went on, pointing out that BF3 will support 64 players on PC, and it will be possible to have both jets, helicopters, tanks and infantry combat on a single map.

Don't believe everything you think.

Yup. Prone, tanks, and jets are confirmed by this video. Although, it said something about this being based off pre-alpha software... so there might be a chance something changes... maybe...
