YAY!!! Anamodiel is back once a week to take notes. HHHUUUUZZZZAAAAHHHHHH!!!-Tbone's moving apartments next week! In and out of town for the next 2/3 weeks. Tech rehearsals. Overnight there for some of the nights!
-SWTOR Updates: Slower after E3. Lots of news came out from that, so be sure to get all caught up on that stuff. Official site posted a bunch of awards from E3.
-No release date announced.... and there's no traditional open beta. fml. fyl. fol's.
-blah blah blah secret swtor stuff. You should have come if you wanted to know... or you can just catch Tbone in TS.
-Group mechanics make it hard for Tbone to group with the lower level's. There's no "mentor" system in this game. A little bothersome because its going to be hard to stay the same level as your groupmates.
-Tbone did group up with three other random people on X planet, and he had a fun time. The planet is HUGE and he almost got lost.
-Website is working on the final touches to the
www.thefuriousangels.com site.
-Lits is going to do a recording for us a hook to get people from
www.thefuriousangels.com to
www.followthesignal.net-We are still trying to figure out ways to make the two more cohesive. That's for another day.
-Submitted our guild recruitment video. We're waiting on the award thread to be posted on the 29th. It was the original Teaser video we had released more than a year ago ("Are you an Angel?")
-Tbone wants to create another cool recruitment video that encompasses our entire challenge, essentially. We can't decide whether we want to wait to use ingame footage or start creating the video now. It'd be a teaser of a type of gameplay you could expect from us.
-We can't rely on MXO and what we did then. MXO was much smaller. People know of us, but not everyone knows what we're about and we can't expect people to flock to us just by doing the same exact thing we did in MXO.
-**IMPORTANT**!!-Once the game comes out, we really want to make sure that the guild takes precedent. What Tbone means by that is that we're all in this guild because we like being able to group up together.
-It's not helpful when a community of players don't GAME with you. There's always a risk of that happening. We don't mean that you can't play with other people. Tbone gave examples in the thread he's mentioning.
-It's just that, making sure that the guild is able to accomplish what it needs to accomplish to ensure success for both the guild and the individual.
-Part of what made us successful in MXO, EVERYBODY helped out, whether someone was in trouble or someone had an event going on. No one could really pick on just one person because we would SWARM. It's an important quality that we have.
-Tbone wants everyone to have the mentality of helping out the guild first and foremost, and yourself second. As Anamodiel believes in karma, what goes around comes around. If you help someone out, you bet your ass someone is going to be helping you out.
-We want to squash the attitude that the guild isn't as important as whatever you're doing. We don't want people to ignore the guild.
-If you're gaming and you can't even take the time to come and talk with us for 30 minutes once a week, that really seems like a bit of a problem, and could only begin to sow the seeds for down the road.
-Obviously, while sometimes the meetings are boring or "don't really matter", the same thing could be said about PVP or Raiding or RPing or whatever. It's a courtesy thing.
-If you need any clarifications, please talk with Tbone.
-
We're not here to limit your playstyle. We just want to make sure a system is in place to maximize everyone's potential ingame when the time comes, and we want people to be aware of it now.
-As well, once we get closer to release, we'll figure things out and and be more specific.
-Basically, my view: The meeting is once a week for 30 minutes. It isn't mandatory. But it's the only thing that we do together as a whole guild right now until the game comes out. If you're at your computer, just pop into TS and listen in and make some pizza or watch some porn or do whatever you do at the computer. THE END.
