I'm already working on a Flash intro for the FA, with a blessing from the Commander.  Thats why I've been so light in the post lately...but I think the public site is a great idea.  I think it could definitely be done in a way that still allows for our secrecy.  All the forums we have now could be on the private side of the site, or perhaps selectively move certain forums to a public area.  Then the public forums could build from there.  I think it's an awesome idea.

For the intro will you be adding certain members to it or just basically angels?
Oh nevermind we can't really get ourselves in it until the game actually comes out so we can get pictures of our characters....

I didn't place any characters into it at this point, but once the game is released I'm sure I can create an FA trailer of some kind.  My intro is more along the lines of site-entry, like a Pepsi commercial, with sound FX, music clip(s), not too long though, for loading purposes.

Instead we should have a small public area made from scratch with a new forum, publically available game news, and such.

I support the idea of a public site but at the same time we need to keep a high level of descretion so as not to give away who we are. As it stands, we are the most secretive faction on the boards and that alone will make us stronger than most while also giving us an edge over who may become an enemy. Still, there are those who want to know us and become one of us so the site is a good idea it just needs to be very well thought out as to what we do and do not realease to the general public. Also, I don't think the site should be directly linked to the main site just for insurance purposes.

We should start working on a story base for the public site, in terms of the viewer being someone not yet freed, but who was drawn by question to what the Angels are, and yatta yatta. Should start a thread with ideas about the story

Good idea Soulless. I had a similar plan, but I haven't been consistant with it. One new page speaks to the visitor as if they did not know about the Matrix. A second new page, however, talks about Zion and Hovercrafts. I might edit the second one...

Yeah, I also harbor the feeling of not going along with this. But hey, we all have to submit to leadership. That's why they call it LEADERship, because you're being lead, by a leader. Although, as I've said before any good leader listens to the opinons of that of his subordinates.

Also, We must be wary of how many of us actually sign up on these new boards. I mean we can't have a signal saying This person is an FA member and this person is a guest, or this person is a reg. member while this person is a FA crewmember. It would totally destory the "mystery" that we have. Although I believe that we can do things to prolong our air of mystery, it's going to have to come to an end soon. One way or another, and after that happens, we're going to have to have something else to back up our claim as being the most powerful clan out there.

So in short, we're going to have to do something about the member system. Also, I think that since this idea is going to be implemented that some of us actually take on the air of newcomers, or "guests." Also I agree that we lock down ALL of the site other then the links and archives.

But since we're going to have this site, Tbone, can you tell us why we need one so badly? I mean the mxo forums seemed enough to me. Maybe if you tell us why we're implementing one it could help us better understand.  - And jsut for an afterthought, if it's for the devs to see anything, we still have Trav's account so I don't think we should be worrying about that.
