New Sig

Yup it's that time.. I still have that crazy darkfall sig attached to me.  

Time for someone to step up and make me a SWTOR and APB sig...

I tried putting something together last night, but wasn't happy with any of it.  It continues to bounce around in my head, however.

What kind of look are we going for?

id like a real light-side jedi look.  Like a face shadowed by a white cloak, a white flickering lightsaber in front of it that brightens the face enough to see the eyes...just a thought.  Not sure what base scheme we'll choose like with specific logos and shit.  Maybe I'll play with it tonight.

Looks pretty sweet.

Although the flicker of the lightsaber is kinda, for lack of a better word, odd.

Something about it doesn't scream lightsaber, but more of a fluorescent light like in stores.

Other than that i like it, especially the holo of the FA symbol.

thanks.  Does it need to flicker faster arch?  I'm thinking it probably looks weird to u because it's all white, so it does just look like a lightbulb.  When I replace it with color, it looks totally normal.  But, I like to stick with our all-white symbolism.

I am not in any way trying to take away from anything that was done here and Adad, your sig is pretty sick, bro.

However, going back to my first encounter with FA on the original pre-MxO forums part of the mystique surrounding FA was its semi-anonymous visual presence.  Each member's sig was unique, yet there was a uniformity to that linked them all that did not detract from the enigmatic quality.

I think when we get into specific "commercial" images and pictures, this takes away from that quality and the mystique that we work so hard to surround ourselves with.

This is just my two cents as far as what we want to keep in mind when designing ideas for sigs.

I'm not sure if it's the speed or intensity of the flicker....

It just reminds me far too much of an old public bathroom light that's flickering.

It's probably just cause it is white. Either way it still looks good.
