I actually wanted to do a characters story area as well. The reason I didn't was that I wanted to include pictures, and APB is still under the NDA, and almost all of you still aren't in the game yet. Not to mention once we are in game, we'll need to figure out uniforms, cars, etc. I feel like that is something we should add at a later date.

I like Manic's paper and top secret stuff better, but I miss my gun and blood splatters against the white. I'm not really sure which dogtag I like better.

We're getting away from the badge and handcuffs a bit since we are going a bit more secretive, rogue than police.

Well that certainly makes sense, but we could implement it now and simply have each person leave it at "and thats when/how I joined the FA) or something along those lines, adding to or editing it later. I always like doing a backstory as a "first chapter" sort of deal, and as I play I translate the major gameplay milestones I reach into new "chapters", thus adding to the story.

I can see why you'd want to wait to add it though, so I can definitely live with that.

I experimented with different backgrounds: concrete, asphalt, wood, and flat white.  I felt it looked odd to have the other elements (paper, gun, dogtags) floating around in white space.  Especially to have them casting shadows on "nothing".  So I went with wood, but I can change it if need be.  Asphalt might be a better fit, actually.

Better Manic. I still don't like the gun. And now the yellow streaks are confusing me. Dogtags and blood look better, though.

Do you mean you don't like the style of the gun I used, or you don't like the gun at all?

The more I look at the gun, the less I like it. I think it adds too much "bulk" to the image, when a "less is more" approach might look better.

I think it looks great aside from the aforementioned yellow streaks. It looks like it's all on the ground... just kinda looks wierd.

I personally like the wooden table look to be honest but i might be alone on that one.

I like having a gun, but I feel that gun is too animated. For some reason it makes me feel like I'm about to play the board game Clue. I really liked the sleek, silver gun that I found, though I'm not sure if it would match the rest of your style. Basically I want the gun more sleek and metallic and not as blue and animated, I guess.

I like how the blood looks better on the asphalt than the wood, though the wood does make more sense logistically.

Also, we need a join button somewhere. I just put mine at the bottom but you could get creative if you wanted.

I'll miss my blood on white, but I suppose that can still be used for our sigs.

I'm banging my head against the wall trying to find a high-res photo of a silver Desert Eagle.  Here's what I've come up with so far.

That Silver DE definitely fits much better then the previous gun.

I'd much rather have a DE or 1911 on anything we put out. That HK looks too much like a P22, which while it is a great little gun (I have one of them in my drawer right now) it certainly doesn't look too intimidating, IMO.

I know, hence the "That HK looks too much like a P22", but I hate the look of any pistol with a weight compensator...
Just doesn't look mean enough to me.


Maybe it's just me.
