I have been and beta for some time and can say that driving is fixed at least for the most part. Guns are still unbalanced though.

What side are you on? I've been playing it too, enjoying it quite a bit. :P

Got my closed beta invite the other day.  Got an email today saying that "Character Migration is Live!"

Apparently you can now migrate your RTW's APB characters into GF's APB Reloaded.  I thought that was cool until I realized that it probably doesn't include characters from the original beta.

This post is a gamer's dream post come true for a number of reasons, but mainly because it transparently tells you exactly why the game runs the way it does, why the player-count per district can't be increased (yet) and what the roadblocks are. It's not all about what the hampers are that prevent some players from truly enjoying the game, the blog also talks about progress, solutions and how the team plans to fix these things.

This is exactly the kind of transparency developers need to adopt with their communities.  Statements like "We've got some really cool stuff coming soon!  Unfortunately we can't go into much detail yet!" get really irritating really fast.  If you can't share your awesome secrets with the people who are giving you money, don't even bother bringing them up.

I hopped into APB a couple months ago, and though I was really bummed to see a lot of the customization options locked behind a paywall, the game ran a lot better than I remembered.  Load times were still noticeably long, but actual gameplay was very smooth and fun.

I'm really glad this game is still being worked on.  It had so much potential that got clouded by a very rocky launch.  I'll probably jump in this weekend to check it out again.

What's going on in APB world these days? I remember giving it a swing about a year ago, but didn't make it much past the tutorials.
