Star Wars Galaxies: Are we serious?
« on: June 24, 2009, 11:55:41 am »
So, I wanted to ask how serious we were about continuing in Star Wars Galaxies.  As some of you know, I'm a regular player of the game.  I also participate in the TCG that accompanies the game.  Due to this, I have several loot cards (TCG cards that are redeemable for in-game items) that I have no interest in.  I stand to make several million credits by selling these items.

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/posts/list.m?topic_id=941685

If we're serious, I'll sell them for credits on Bloodfin to try and help advance our player city and help the guild to an extent.  If we're only just messing around, I'll sell the loot cards for credits on Shadowfire, since my level 59 main is there.

EDIT: In case you guys were interested in seeing the loot cards and what they do:
http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/tradingcardgame/lootcards.vm

Of the ones I'm selling, the first seven come from the Galactic Hunters expansion.  The ninth and tenth are from the newest expansion (released yesterday), Agents of Deception.  The eighth is a special loot card that came from a tournament pack.

Still seeing how much interest it generates. If you'll take note of my "game plan" thread, currently the idea is for this to keep us occupied until one of the newer MMOs come out in the fall (such as Aion or any other game coming down the tubes). Of course, those could be epic fails as well. I wish I could give you something more concrete, but you can kind of consider this a transitional phase.

Alright, fair enough.

With that said... I've been thinking about it all day (slow day at work - haha), and I've decided I'm going to pay the fee to transfer Tecknik from Shadowfire to Bloodfin.  I really don't have any ties holding me to Shadowfire, as I've mostly been a loner in the game.  Taking into account the fact that a bunch of us will be on Bloodfin, and the fact that I hate leveling, I feel it makes the most sense to just have Tecknik moved over.

Right. Have we got a Guild? Are we Reb or Imp? I'm tempted to go imperial until roughly The Imp Theme Park missions so I can get the Jedi Starfighter.

That was my plan with the character on Bloodfin I'm using.

We do have a guild, the Furi ous Ang els.  Apparently you can't use the word "angel", so Tbone came up with that.  Right now we just have our guild hall located on Naboo.  As far as I know, it's going to be a Rebel guild.

I'm downloading SWG now. I've got a month of free game time thanks to the 6year anniversary from being in beta. There's also a free character transfer avaliable until the 30th so I'm going to try and take advantage of that as well. Hopefully I'll see you all in a galaxy far far away...

Well, My Lv. 90 Rebel Jedi is not able to come to Bloodfin without a insane transfer fee.

However, I was able to put my Imperial Lv. 80 Sith on Bloodfin. So, I jave to grind back like 5000 Rebel Exp and figure out how to craft my Lightsaber seeing as how it was somehow stripped from my account.

I think Adad has his made, would you be able to help me figure out the freaking Survey thing so I can get my resources to craft?

Furious since 2006.

I'm still trying to get in game...It crashes on me everytime I play it...I have reformatted and re downloaded the game. I've replaced memory, HDD, ran all updates...I have a ticket in and still waiting to hear back. i can usually play for about 10 minute and then my computer will reboot on me, only with this game...MXo, Call of Duty, Hitman all play with no issues. it will reboot after about 2-3 minutes if i load teamspeak or if I have IE open and running. I'm only lvl 10, but once i get this fixed I should start progressing alot faster.

I paid the $50 to transfer my level 59 Commando from Shadowfire to Bloodfin.

What level lightsaber can you currently use?  I'll have a look around for a complete kit that'll come with resources, crafting kit, and everything else you'll need to craft a new one.  I'll also look for some decent Krayt pearls to use in it.

If anyone else is over level 22 and is a profession that allows them to wear armor (pretty much anything except Jedi), let me know what armor you're interested in and I'll have a look around and see what I can find.  The armor I got Tbone was a 6000 kinetic/energy/base set of Rebel Battle Armor for ~3 million credits.  You can look at the different kinds here: http://swg.wikia.com/wiki/Armor

Just about everything except for Mandalorian (Fett) armor is an option.  Requires special parts that are hard to come by, so EACH PIECE (Head, chest, left shoulder, right shoulder, etc) cost ~100 million credits.  I don't have quite that many credits. :p

Anything in-game you guys are looking for, let me know and I'll see what I can do in obtaining it.
