The Taris video makes me sad because it gives me the feeling they're still just in the relatively early stages of development. :(

Agreed.  The textures and lighting look rather bland.  I highly doubt that's the final product, though.  As T said, they still have another year.

The idling screen behind one of the interviews looked pretty good. The UI looked pretty clean and the world looked nice. You MIGHT be confused because the majority of the Taris video was KOTOR and KOTOR2 footage, NOT SWTOR.

Alright, so... Not to get too excited, but I MIGHT have an "in" on Alpha testing of Coruscant, which I'm told will be happening soon and will be the starter planet for the Trooper class.

According to what this person said, the Alpha testing has been broken into segments.  You receive a client that only allows you to access whichever part of the game you are testing.  In this case, it's the planet Coruscant for the Trooper class.  From what he told me, it seems like a different planet is done every few weeks.

Tython = Jedi Knight, Jedi Consular   Dromund Kaas = Sith Warrior, Imperial Agent.  Korriban = Sith Inquisitor   Ord Mantel = Smuggler

No one knows about BH yet.  Devs haven't said anything

Not sure how credible this person is, or if the offer is legit, but I will keep everyone posted.  He also said that he is allowed to invite 5 people, so I will be trying to persuade this person to give the other invites to us.
