I've never understood the draw of collector's editions...

Says the guy that owns this....

Really!?!....Really!?!

You'll be surprised to know that I do not, in fact, own any "CE" Matrix merch.  :P

I figure I can be a fan without needing to show it off.  That, and I enjoy being not-broke.

I have it.  It was a birthday present one year.  Pretty awesome.

Come on Guys (and girls) we all know Manic bought the BETTER one.. this one..

It was only released in Japan.  I saw one on Ebay going for $400, and I'll admit I was tempted.  But... christ, $400 for a few movies just doesn't make any sense to me.

do you guys really think the ingame items are worth the extra money? I dont care about the malgus figure as he is Sith..
you get the stone to change the color of your weapon even on the regular version..
I am leaning toward standard edition.

Ok the problem with Gamestop has been fixed. There was an error in their system that ended up putting the CE codes under a "misc" SKU. I have mine now and it is entered!
Now that we have so many people with the code entered, did we get any kind of confirmation that the guild has been confirmed?

Probably not unless the collector's edition store is amazing.
However, I am a major bioware fanboy and must have the CE's!
The Sith Statue will probably end up on Ebay though =P

Just got back from game stop preordered but never got a code. Do they email it to you or did my store just not have any?

This will not happen until Phase 3 of the Guild System is in place. Likely before release.

But it only requires 4 pre-orders confirmed and then T-Bone has to check in on the Guild page (during Phase 3) and confirm activity to transfer.

I can't decide between the digital deluxe or the CE. The question I have is whether you all think the in game store for CE people will be worth it. Thoughts?

You'll just waist your time trying to 'justify' the cost. It can't really be justified--get it if you can afford it and want to treat yourself to something unique otherwise just get the standard version.

Yeah, it really came down to opportunity cost. I will say, in the back of my mind I was thinking ahead to any videos we might be making and decided that the flare gun might be necessary even if cliche at this point. Also, I'm not sure how the HoloCam will actually work, but it sounded like I should have that too :-p

Same for me, though pre-order CE.  Checked the other two UK retailers (Play.com and Amazon.co.uk) and neither have anything other than the standard edition listed.

Buisness as usual for the UK to play catch-up then...

It is supposed to be printed on your receipt. If it is not there you need to head back with your receipt and inform the person of this. The gamestop I went to didn't even know about the codes until I mentioned something.

It is a different SKU in their system so it has to be pulled up and the Collectors Edition codes are in some completely random misc SKU, but by this point it should be fixed and you should be able to get your code no problem.

I imagine after the massive call volume from yesterday that they will have their systems properly updated today.
