Apparently diverged from my own. While I regret this to some extent it doesn't really come as a surprise. I appreciate Tbone talking to me about some of your misgivings with my being absent. I tried to help you guys when I was asked to, sometimes I was busy off doing my own thing by myself or with a different guild. But if I was not asked or invited to a party I had no problems wandering around following my own nose.

I've made some great friends the past few weeks since meeting you guys and have developed quite a high opinion of you, just not all the actions taken by some. A few events happened that somewhat disturbed me and you,  as for me; perhaps it's me not being competitive enough or the nature of the game and how it warps some perceptions. Not a fan of lying and stealing, a rare event but one that tarnished my own mind. I have no problems with people only the actions they perform. I signed up to be elite for sure but can not be elitist or exclusive.

You have proved yourselves as trustworthy people I can rely upon. FA has my respect and if you ever want to team up and hunt with me sometime I am a'ight with that. I'm sure I'll be seeing you all in game sometime. For the moment I'll wander, perhaps I'll find another home once I can no longer afford to be on my own. My nature seems to open doors, if not for long. If you want to talk to me you know where to reach me, whether by e-mail, or in game.  Best of luck to us all. So even as we part our ways in sorrow, I know I'll see you on the 'morrow.

Good luck in your endeavors within Darkfall and anywhere else.  We will definitely cross paths again I'm sure.  See you soon.

If it is how you feel, it should be without regret. You will be missed as your knowledge in the game is very indepth and i know that i, for one, will miss grouping with you...  Despite how few times it may have been.

Good luck, I pray that we will fight along side each other once more.

So you guys know the story...

For over a month now I've been receiving complaints from multiple members that Sol was grouping with other clans over us, muting himself in our TS while chatting with the other clans in Vent and rolling with them in game. I decided to address it when I got back, and now I'm back. The other night I saw personally that Sol was elsewhere and not even willing to roll with the group when we were going out PvPing.

So I confronted him on the issue, starting the conversation by saying if he'd rather by with another group and isn't happy here, that's fine and he is free to leave without any hard feelings. Needless to say, he chose that option. He claimed to be more of a solo player, but the meat of the matter is that apparently a member or a few members rubbed him the wrong way, and instead of dealing with the issue, decided to distance himself from everything.

He cited two issues - one being someone posting under the name "offload.anon", speaking bad of Oromea. He had suspicion that it was an FA member, and despite there being lots of evidence that it was not us, he kept his suspicion. The other issue an event where an FA member apparently looted a dead Oromea of his full gear and then lied about it to put the blame on a different clan. I haven't heard of that happening, but I am interested in knowing who it was. That's not acceptable behavior.

Anyway, he admitted the concerns about him were warranted, and opted to peacefully walk away. I told him he should have came to me with his problems sooner. So that goes for everyone - if you have a problem, feel free to let me know.

The second issue could have been about some Bad Boy 4 Life and Kill Cult guys that were exploiting the towers in Oromea city.  One of them was stupid enough to do it AFK, in full scale and died.  I looted it.  No one saw however I was the only Mirdain in the area and one guy asked me if I looted it.  I let them know that people were chatting in Clan Alliance about Kill Cult members running around and looting tower exploiters (which was true, they were talking about it).  But in no way did anything have to do with Oromea though, so I think there was some misinformation there.  They were an enemy clan and got what they deserved and our name wasn't tarnished.  I would have done the same thing if it were Vindicators or any other of FA's enemies.  Case closed IMO.

Edit: the only reason Sol knew of this incident was because we were all laughing about in in TS.  It was pretty neat pitting two enemy races against each other.  In no way was there anyone saying some FA member did this or that.  There was no public word of anything other tahn Kill Cult getting the blame which was awesome.  Obviously if it were an Oromea member being looted, FA Leadership would have been talked to by them.  This was all in Sol's opinion as far as I know.

Let me know if you guys want more info on that one.

Honestly from the get go I had big issues with Sol.  He was greedy, all about himself and was multi guilding.  Then one night my character was afk macroing and he decided to knock back me across the city and out of the city walls.  I politely pulled him aside one day and told him the issues I had with him and we as far as I knew resolved it.  Since then I thought his attitude had improved.  He seemed much more on board with the clan however he did roll with his doggy buddies more than us and only wanted to roll with us if it profited him directly.

That doesn't make it right, and I feel sol's concerns with that situation are just.  That shouldn't happen even if you get off scott free.  You can hate the alliance all you want but that's a crappy thing to do.

I feel like I miss out on a lot of guild politics being an EU member. This weekend I literally have zero plans, all my drones are off elsewhere so I am going to try to stay up late and hang with you yanks. I thought Sol was lovely, so this is a bit of a shock!

Cool; am up for that too demi. We do our best to avoid guild politics as it just drags us down.

Best advice I can give is, as mr T says, chat to him if anyone has a problem as we go to a lot of effort to get guildmates we think will mesh with us and it is always a shame to lose people over something which could have been fixed with no drama!

Tally ho.

I'm not trying to be confrontational but I just don't see it that way.  Maybe you guys can give me your point of view and something will click.  I’m being sincere, I’m willing to admit I’m wrong if I’m out of line, I just need to understand your point of view.

First off, as far as I know neither of those two guilds are part of the alliance.  For sure Kill Cult is not.  In fact most of the oromea guys got sick of them being there and were yelling in public for them all to leave or be killed.  Was anyone else there at that time that can back me up on that?  All of these guys ran in when they heard people were exploiting the towers.

I could give a crap about the loot, it's just amusing to me to see one of these alfar guys that we are enemies with sitting there afk exploiting fully decked out just to get dry looted.  Maybe I’m being harsh but I truly feel it serves them right.  It's just hard for me to see it any other way.  Either way, I felt they were in the wrong and I felt justified serving them up a little justice.  I've been ganked by them more times than I can count.  I give them some payback and at the same time feed them some counter intelligence that works to our advantage and this is wrong?

Again, I'm sorry if this made any of you uncomfortable and please share a different point of view with me if you guys feel I was out of line.  I really wish that if anyone had a problem with this they would have said something in TeamSpeak instead of joining in on the fun laughing with me.

I really think that Sol quitting over something like this doesn't make any sense.  He never once said anything to me, in fact nothing was said to anyone as far as I know.  If something was said I would hope that my teammates would feel they could come to me with anything and say, hey man I don’t think that’s right.  I feel that Sol made this out to be some sort of big deal when at the time it was just this thing in passing.  Seriously the whole event came and went in under 5 minutes.  He was there as were a few other members and noone said anything other than laughing at this doof and that was that.

I can't say anything since i was not there... I logged off both TS and DFO once i saw those dumb towers on.

I will only say that Sol hung out with LOTS of people other than us. Some of course were from Alfar guilds and he may have been friends with a few and that's more than likely what has cause this to be bigger than what it was for him.

I can't really speak much on the subject since i don't know all the details from both parties... only that it just doesn't seem right.

It's a complex issue for sure.  You have exploiting, enemy races, allied town, allies of allies, gank Mirdain clan...

I think the heart of the matter is that we want to be honorable. If you had no problem looting the guy, you should have no problem thanking them for their donation. A hesitation in doing so indicates you may have been wary that it could have put a strain on our relations with Oromea, as it was in their city and so we try to respect their rules.

This sort of ambiguity will hopefully not be a problem much longer...

I see your point.  I think the heart of the matter for me is I just resent us allying with the enemy.  I'm sure my resentment against all these vindicators and dusk members running around had everything to do with but it won't be an issue anymore.  Because of this, I no longer use Oromea's city.  The game is much harder but it's not that bad.  I do now however get the freedom to kill any enemy I wish when I want without fearing political repercussions.

I really do apologize if my actions in any way made you guys uncomfortable.  I really wish that Sol had come to me or even said something in passing.  I honestly feel that had I given him my perspective and reasoning, either it wouldn't have been much of an issue or he could have given me a different point of view thus convincing me to be less shady.  Maybe this was the reason for him leaving or maybe it was the excuse he needed to leave, either way guys, know I am 100% for FA and would never want to say or do anything to offend you guys or tarnish our name.  I want everyone to know that I am always open to hear a differing opinion and will always strive to be open minded especially when it could benefit all of us.

tldr; sorry. :)
