With the problems with preorders, I'm sure they delayed releasing the download so that they could focus on the other issues. I really hope they post the exact hour the server is going up, because I'm scheduled to work Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, so the chances of me being around when they go live are pretty slim. If I can find out ahead of time, though, I can try to switch my schedule around.

It was just confirmed to us that a large network provider in the US is facing a serious network issue and this is affecting an account management service we're using. As a result account creation and pre-ordering are timing out.

We finished with the upgrades to our webservers 5 hours ago and we've been handling the load with no problems, but there are problems communicating with our account management service due to the ISP issues mentioned above. We left the service running for them to be able to troubleshoot the problem. A small percentage of the requests are getting through but most are timing out. Now that the issue has been pinpointed we will turn preorders off but we'll stay at work until it's fixed or until we have some kind of ETA to report. We're assured there's a top priority on this.

Again, we apologize for the delay and for any frustration that this may be causing. We'll let you know immediately when we know something. As far as the client and installer download which should have been up today, we need to hold off until the pre-orders are up or until we have an ETA.

If you do not preorder, you will not be able to play until after the 25th. What does this mean for the guild if we can't get enough people in at launch?

ALL clan cities and hamlets will be claimed. In order to seige a clan city, you need seige weapons, almost all of which can only be crafted by a clan workbench, meaning you need a clan city. Without a clan city, we will be at a severe disadvantage at everything we do. Clans we are at war with can attack us ANYWHERE, even racial cities, so there will be no safe haven for us to do anything in. With such a slow start, we'll be unable to make a name for ourselves and will quickly become known as this poor guild that sometimes peskily tries to seige a town or hamlet, but because they don't have any resources, fail miserably time and time again.

So do you want us to fail miserably time and time again? No? Then preorder! Do it! Now! F5 F5 F5 F5! :-P

So wait, during the first day after the games release only the preorderers will be allowed to play? That means that by preordering I get a 24 hour head start on the average joe? Are you sure?
