Author Topic: Beta Forums Question - Release Date, Community Unrest, etc. (Read 917 times)

In the Beta Forums, has there been any news, or a hint of news as to the progress of the beta test, the release date, pre-orders, system specs, etc.

The Advanced Discussion Forum has gone from bad, to worse, to hostile, and I would say it's now at the same point that it was when:

(1) Leading to Dec. 5, Aventurine promised release in 2008, and people realized it was unrealistic. (Then they posted in News about Jan. 22nd as Official release date.)

(2) Jan. 15th 1 week from "release" and no info - people were freaking out (and they post the News to delay to Feb. 25.)

I am thinking that we will get a Tasos news update this week (probably at the end of the week like Friday) with the status on everything - since the tone of the forum has gone from "Send me a beta key, lol bewbs" to "fuck this game, vaporware."

But, any new news for the testers? Either in-game or on the Beta Forums? It feels like most testers are saying there will be another delay...

No nothing at all. The only communication we get are the patch notes. The server goes on and off several times a day which at one point had to do with some syncing issues. It appears the beta waves were stopped or at least paused. I will have to keep checking the sign in for that. My guess is that they ran into an unexpected snag for the past week but that is only speculation.

I really wish I had more info and I especially wish you all could get in. I'm trying my best to keep our Impressions thread updated with some of my experiences and things I am learning. Other than that I got nothing.

Edit: I just checked the sign in thread and it doesn't look like there's been a beta wave since last Tuesday, which is when I think me and the others got in.
