ok I have no idea if this will work but here goes.

You must have winrar installed for this to work.

First extract the Darkfall Installer.  It's called step1_Darkfall_Installer.rar  
Run the extracted file called Darkfall.exe
It should create the icon on your desktop, and the folder in program files etc.
It will stay at a log in screen until you provide it one which obviously you don't have.
Close the patcher.

Now extract the larger darkfall rar, step2.Darkfall.rar anywhere you like.  Take the data folder and overwrite the data folder in your program files / darkfall folder

This should work once you get a beta key:/

Perhaps you should host the file on a free server like rapidshare or something like that? And only post the link here. Since we are seeding, we'll be able to tell if the link gets out. And without the passwords, it's just taking up space on your hard drive anyway.

That seems like it will be much quicker than everyone having to wait for you to message them back.

Let me ask a question or two...

What is this "seeding" (yes, I'm a noob)

How am I helping by downloading this file and/or "seeding"

What's the difference between this, and just waiting for an official Adventurine-issued download?

I guess I'll take this one...

1. "Seeding" is the description for purely uploading data after you have downloaded it. Every file has to have a source, and the more sources, the faster it goes.

2. When you download the file, you simultaneously upload (or give) it to others. So by downloading, you are also providing another source for others to download from. By continuing to leave the program open after you have finished, you no longer "leech" bandwith (downloading) and instead purely use your bandwith to seed (upload), thus increasing everyone else's download speed who still has to get the file.
3. The first difference is that this may not work. You may end up with useless data on your computer that, once you get a beta key, you discover is useless. The official Adventurine patch should be more of a certainty. The other big difference is that if you download the large files now via this torrent, when you get your key and say "yay, now I can play Darkfall", you won't have to spend three days on their slow server downloading the game before you can play, assuming these files that you will have already downloaded function as game files like they should.

In the end, you lose nothing by downloading it now, as it still doesn't allow you to get into the game and there is no risk of getting in "trouble". If it doesn't work, you can just delete the data and start patching from the beginning. You have everything to gain as it means you'll get to play the game three days earlier than if you hadn't downloaded it beforehand once you do get a key.

I've been seeding for a while now at about 35 kb/s. Sorry I have such a slow upload speed!
