Halo 2 (can actually play with anyone who has it on xbox also.. the game comes with xbox live on the pc)

My problem with Halo 2 is that in order to be able to install/play, you must have Windows Vista.

I'm not buying and installing Vista just for Halo 2.

I don't believe they did the crossover servers w/ Xbox on Halo 2...it seems Shadowrun is the only game that claims that feature.

I remember reading on the box somthing along the lines of, "Play with Xbox players on XBox Live!".

The technology exist and was started with Halo2 but by the time they released Halo2 they had dropped the feature.

hmm all I know is when I get in the game I sign into LIVE and then go online and play I'm assuming its both pc and xbox users as it was advertised.

So it requires Vista AND does not feature the advertised crossplay?

I'm installing Unreal Tournament III right now.  Wouldn't mind getting some DM or CTF going once I get the hang of it.  Aside from that, I also have UT2k4.

Looks like I need to upgrade my graphics card to run UT3 effectively.  Until that happens, I'll be sticking to UT2k4 when not in MxO.

Yeah, UT2k4 is much better than UT3.

You can pick up UT2k4 on steam for $15, I enjoyed the multiplayer demo back in the day so I'll probably buy it.

Is there a Friend feature for UT3 (Jeyk is my in-game name), or do we have to exchange server IP's when we play?
